Temporary Sharding

Technology is much better but the way data transfer works makes the strain on servers exponentially worse the more players that are in a singular area.

I just saw someone post this in the loot trading thread:

Number 3. solves one of the big issues I think loot trading would create; the ability to hold onto loot during a raid to more efficiently distribute it as bosses are killed.

I personally think they should just abandon loot trading, their reasoning was that it’s a better system than letting players create tickets to handle mismanagement of loot. Why not just abandon the idea of reversing a looting mistake altogether? Mistakes happen, move on.
