Am I the only person having people teleporting recently? Not abilities and it only happens in shuffles.
For example I will have a warrior using bladestorm start teleporting from the other side of the pillar to directly on top of me. My MS is usually around 30, so I don’t think it is lag.

Yeah, I see it too and so does my arena partner.
We assume it’s some form of lag switching. There are ways to make it so that we see a glitching person (which messes up casters for positionals) and it’s almost always a melee doing it. Their screen looks normal to them.
Lag switch can be activated to partially disrupt information being sent, effectively falsifying bad lag
Cheaters gonna cheat.

dude lag switch is something i haven’t heard since pulling ur cord out of ur modem and that years ago lol. nobody knows what a lag switch is. explain it for us that don’t know.

I mean if ur computer is reason, I wouldn’t feel bad for urself just ur partners. slow computer will make u do what u describe. dude the other person said a lag switch and nobody uses a lag switch.

All I know is every time I fight a Warlock in RSS, they teleport around so much I feel like I’m watching that damn movie, “Jumper”.

well outside a computer that makes u lag ridiculous and it can happen, went through most of an xpac with my laptop and i did that. but i just dueled, still happened, no lag switch. ur basiclly talking about pulling cord right? same thing right? haven’t heard about this since daoc.
“When you play World of Warcraft, you are downloading packets from Blizzards servers and sending back packets from your PC to blizzards servers. These packets are bits of information which allow blizzard servers to communicate with your PC to figure out where you are moving in game, etc.
These programs manipulate the packets by sending them in certain ways back to blizzards servers to create a ‘false lag’ effect. You yourself won’t feel/see the lag, because you are still getting the regular stream of information from blizzards servers, but the programs will either slow down the rate the packets get sent back, or disrupt them in certain ways to create the same effects as lag to other players.
So why hasn’t blizzard fixed this? As far as I have been able to find out, it’s almost impossible to collect hard evidence that people are using these programs. As yes, some people simply just lag, as other are clearly abusing systems around them. It seems impossible for game companies to clearly separate who is actually cheating from who isn’t. This appears to be a problem across all online games, not just WoW.“

so ppl are going old school? chances are it was just a laptop level of playing. that is a possibility tho. like i said, ive only heard about it but never actually cared enough to learn what it was. pulling cord is what ppl said back when.
This is a button you macro that turns the program on and off.
That’s why you’ll usually see them start lagging super hard when they’re going for a kill and barely lag at other times.
It’s a tactic that filthy cheaters use.
Lag happens but it seems to happen far more often in arena than it does anywhere else.

Lovely… so we can expect this crap to happen in solo shuffle battlegrounds.
On top of needing all sorts of addons, macros, and authotkey, we need to also use lag creating software to compete.
They may win in game but only RL losers cheat.

I’m not going to bring politics into the discussion, but let’s just say cheaters almost always in win real life. That’s one of the reasons people play games to escape that kind of crap. But I guess you have to cheat in games also.
