Teldrassil Payback Announced!

I am gonna have to steal that

They were all just a partner to killing off his entire race. I think being a little upset over that isn’t exactly “out of character” at this point.

At least you Horde have a freaking story!

Jaina disappears after the finale of the 8.0 questing. We rescue her and then that’s it. So she comes back for this upcoming raid? Just to get wounded badly and sidelined again?

We don’t have anyone else in the story! Malfurion & Tyrande are useless! The boy King is just as useless!

You missed a part then. There’s a cinematic at the end of the Siege of Boralus dungeon and a quest you can pick up in the dungeon that activates an in-game event that links everything together nicely.

What we’re actually lacking is anything related to Uldir.

A story I would trade for a series of random quest!

being neutral. How would that work for lore sake? if it did that then war really begin. as just about every race see that the circle if controlled by alliance. Thus losing all trust with every races in wow. Plus most other organization. I see it interesting. The long-term effects. It would very confusing. I do a ton of their quest. those guys and knights are like every where up to MOP areas.

I would agree, its arguable if the story you are getting is any good. Still as Amaer said at least you got one.

If you just want to be running around doing random sidequests and have a leveling experience completely disconnected from the main story of the xpac and the endgame content, well the Alliance is there waiting for you.

actually proud more one very good and several ones that hev no bearing on game at all. Storm is kind of their. It has three ones going and only finish the one. (shakes hand at dev). Drustvar has four quest that all connect. it only zone that connects. But you have to do ton quest to get it.
Horde side naznire has quest everywhere. You are zipping ever where to get core ones done. Most are in the wild. It still has so many gapping holes that makes you get really sick to stomach.

Vuldun is all over the place. I mean it has zero sense at all most story having nothing to do with bfa it seems. Looking at fixing the farm one. Only one and it a long one is any good.

Zuldazar has 6 quest. while none meet up much. two are very good and funny. the little dinosaur one and getting loa. Why they give you something you have to run other to get buff is beyond me and its annoying. 30 sec is just so short.

Only good thing there a really good buff you get if you do a very good portion of LOA. that one last 15(?) minutes. Kind of weird alliance do not have a buff one. I am still looking.

I have seen spam comments on my wordpress site that are more coherent than this post. What are you trying to say you Saucy little Goblin?

When I unsubscribed for a short time after Teldrasil, I thought about it (I even have a lvl 110 Paladin I could play). But the idea that I would “give in” and accept Blizzard’s making the Horde evil ways just too much.

I don’t own BfA and I don’t want to. The story so far that I have seen is trash. Its rehashed plot that is dead tired and boring at this point. Why are the Horde being forced to make the “morally gray” choices yet again? I think it’s the Ally’s who deserved to have their morals pushed into the gray area’s since for years their morals have been held strong. They were doing great turning Jaina into a racist edgelord who was starting to cause issues in the Alliance. But Now she’s back to being queen wonderful and all her racist hate is justified. Got to love a writing team that supports racism by validating it. Not that I support that they made Sylvanas conduct mass murder for no real logical reason other then we need a new reason to hate the Horde YET again, either. Hated it with our old warchief, hate it even more now.

All of this is out of the players control, by the way. So I hope you don’t hate on me for plot I don’t write and an expac I didn’t even show my support for by buying it. Just cause I play Horde, doesn’t mean I support this crap write job and the expac it’s attached to. I enjoy being an anti-hero, but the bad guy? No, I hate it and I’m tired of bad writing forcing that role on me.

How is killing a faction leader in cannon not payback? Taking our damn staff? Pooping on mah damn city walls? We burned a tree, big woop.

This was the part I never got: simple cause and effect.

Cause: sunreavers deliver wmd to garrosh

Effect: sunreavers are expelled, those who refuse to leave are then arrested as criminals until the situation can be sorted out (confirmed none die in cannon multiple times by devs)

Then people start complaining about Jaina (insert over the top comments here).

If you take someone who went from being believing in peace with your side to the point of helping you kill her own father to the point of fighting you to the death (after you nuke her second home and she is willing to forgive you guys for it)…

…you might want to rethink your strategy.

Because continuing to blame the victims for your war crimes, isn’t going to play out to well.

Jaina and Genn are were two of the only rational actors consistently throughout the whole dark times of the “peacenik” years. Too bad no one listened to their warnings until Teldrassil was a burning ruin…

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn’t it Garrosh who was the fault and reason behind that? And didn’t the Horde make up for that by admitting it was wrong, and over throwing him? Horde and Alliance came to an understanding at the end of MoP and at the start of Legion, were working together till poo poo hit the fan. The fact that it looked like the Horde left the Alliance at the beginning of Legion… (which in reality, the Horde was losing and suffering major losses. Our Warchief even. The way it looked caused a huge misunderstanding.) was more plot to fuel Jaina’s hate and make her more resentful.

The Horde working to fix their moral standing in the world, and the Alliance misunderstanding that, was becoming good plot, until they went “Nope! Horde is Evil” and made Sylvanas do what she did. I mean having Jaina and Grenn still hold on to their grudges when their King wants peace, and going behind his back and attack the Horde due to their unwavering hate and racism would have thrown a meaty story full of moral gray area over to the Alliance side for a change and they would be the ones forced to question if they are the bad guys this time or not.

Is the only show of love the Alliance players will accept from the writers is if they get to crush the Horde completely and wipe them out? Is that the love Alliance players want? Or do you want better written stories that throw your faction into inner mess, and make you, as a player, question your own morals? Cause as a Horde player, it’s not always fun getting written that way and we are the favored side? Some like it and enjoy being the bad guys, but it’s not my cup of tea. I enjoy being written as the anti-heros more. The misunderstood group that look bad, but really aren’t. Getting painted as actually being bad all the time, is getting tiresome and very boring.

Aided by the sunreavers. They (the writers and the faction) dumped everything bad done on garrosh and washed their hands of him. All of them conveniently forgetting that they were busy “painting the continent red” right alongside garrosh, until he decided it was a true orcs (and goblins…because, reasons) only club.

You also left out in wod, your side broke the treaty over the artifact in trashcan…because you thought we might use it against you. Give your faction’s history of shooting first with giant artifacts of power, I could see why that thought may have crossed your faction’s mind…however, we were focused on beating another group of orcs (one who genocide with iron and steel, not demon blood!), not first shotting you guys…because we had a treaty.

Well, at any point someone could have said “Hey, need to leave!” or some kind of message to our side. But, the lich queen in a calculated move, sacrificed our side so your side could make their escape. Again, your side wants to have its cake and eat it too. Tactically, it was a smart move…politically, a bad one. You sacrificed peace to save yourselves. You may have incurred more losses if you had worked a staged withdrawal…or conversely you might have had a better chance at fighting a more unified war with varian alive and less fodder for the “your side are backstabbers!” argument.

As a political entity, perhaps. There’s no way it can endure at this point. Everything it stands for is forever marred by what happened at Teldrassil, no matter what the devs try and spin it as.

The faction in RL would be disbanded, much as the axis was at the end of WWII and forced to de-militarize. It’s member states would most likely be monitored for a time, and those who directly participated in the genocide of the Night Elves would face a war crimes tribunal (a real one, not the one written for garrosh).

You can’t wipe out an entire race and expect nothing bad to come from it. Unfortunately, the devs have put themselves on this path with what they have done to The Alliance time and again. They need to do right by them and the larger responsibility they have in the message they send (this will be the second time in recent history they are whitewashing a mass murderer, with grom in wod being the first)…and this is a very unsettling message to send in this day and age:

That genocide seems to be ok if done by the right people to the right people.

World of Warcraft was BUILT on the story from the Warcraft RTS games and the rich story kept it going up until the end of Wrath. Cataclysm onwards turned everything upside down and gradually began to bleed the game of subscribers as Blizzard focused less on story and more on gameplay.

…then focused less on game play and focused more on metric padding.

And here we are, with “morally grey” genocide.

well I can see you never did horde side version. if have none they had maybe 55 seconds before they were over run. in battle you don’t get luxury of well I need to confirm before we continue. No you make the call. She made the right one. It force alliance to flee as they saw horde leaving. Thus, saving both sides. cut any way you like if she stayed and waited there would of been not have horde and probably no legion. The army that was chasing there retreat. instead of come your way.
This is based on 25 years in marine as a officer. That has actually combat experience. if anyone who says other never been in field of battle and made those calls. game, life does not matter. it was a battle scene I based on my experience.

You shouldn’t listen to streamers.

Taliesin and Evitel are just one big joke and think everything about wow is one big joke, Azchats just complaints about everything, Asmondgold is neither here nor there, TradeChat has admitted that it’s all just her personal opinion nothing more, NobbeltheNoble just talks about the story, nothing else, and Nixxiom is just a joker too like Taliesin.

The point is, don’t allow streamers dictate your opinion play the game and make up your own mind.
