My main account hasn’t had forum access for years so I’m posting about this on my alt account. I recently purchased a Pinata TCG Card on ebay.ca so I could redeem the code in game for the item. Seller sent me the card, it arrived everything looked great so I went ahead and scratched the card to get the code and that’s where the problems started. The ink the code is printed with seeped and it’s no longer readable. I’ve tried entering different combinations of the code for the letters I can’t make out and haven’t had any luck. Is it possible to get the item given to me ingame? I can provide proof of purchase, an image of the card with the ink seeping etc. I’d post it all here but I don’t want someone to get luckier at guessing than I am and redeem the code.
Unfortunately this may be something you’re going to have to battle out and get your money back from Ebay or the seller, if you can.
There really isn’t any support for the old cards anymore. You can try and submit a ticket here, though. It’s always worth a shot.
If it helps, I believe the codes used numbers exclusively, no letters.
With the advancements in AI you might be able to use an OCR AI to help you comprehend the damaged characters.
Thanks but like half the numbers aren’t readable 3, 5, 6, 8, 0s in it all look more or less indistinguishable
Unfortunately without a valid # blizzard cant just hand out the item.
It is a valid number. I have proof the card arrived unscratched yesterday. It’s just unreadable.
