It never ceases to amaze me what terrible effects Calvinism has on modern American society.
Howâs that War on Drugs working out for you?
I dont get an ad in the mail daily to buy insert random drug at a discount. Worked well enough to keep the dangerous ones out of the mainstream.
But I donât think the analogy is quite the same. Maybe if you compared it to counterfeiting US currency, it would be a better comparison.
That happens to not be the case.
Calvinism? Holy crap, dude. Why are you just throwing kooky verbiage around? Weâre talking TOKENS and how they donât SOLVE ANYTHING except to make players lazier by not having to earn gold in game. The token doesnât do jack to stop bots or RMT. Not a thing. Look at retail:

BAN GOLD BUYERS. BAN GOLD SELLERS. BAN BOTS.
Yes blizzard please allow tokens, should also put them in the classic servers as well. No reason for botters and no lifers to have complete control of the larger and buying all their gear
I would prefer it over the boost as even though I wouldnât like it, it would harm bots instead of enabling them.
Asmongold?
Well argued, my dude. Well argued.
Youâll find most people pushing for boosts, wow tokens, blind eye to bots, and other QoL like mog and LFR have serious issues with that phrase.
Its almost as if they rather not actually play the game at all.
Wow Tokens in TBC would be very welcome.
Sadly, there are lots of opportunists in classic who take advantage of the ignorant and blizzard is perfectly fine defending that within the game.
Hell has frozen over! We agree on something!
As evidenced by retail.
Crickets on the other three links. Now why is that?
Yaâll just canât admit you just want to skate through the game, barely playing⌠buying your gold and your boosts and your whatnots.
Because I didnât watch any of them.
Damn straight I can. I play games to have fun, not to do boring stuff that people are compelled to suffer through because of some misguided moralism. Games arenât about not having your dessert before you finish your veggies.
Indeed, strange times we are in.
People play Classic and hopefully TBC because they liked the game. They liked working on their professions and earning their gold in game. Classic and TBC werenât designed with an influx of gold buying and botting, as you can see.
If you want all that thereâs a game for you called RETAIL. No need to ruin everything for you gimme gimme gimme gamers who wouldnât know a good MMORPG if it smacked you in the face.
Why do people keep saying tokens help fight botting? It doesnât and retail proved that.
People play games, including Classic Vanilla, for a multitude of reasons, your moralistic judgments aside.
Not sure what including WoW tokens accomplishes as far as wealth distribution and gold in the economy goes.
It just encourages more gold farming to pay for your sub and really just moves the total amount of gold around between players. If you want to find a way to remove gold you need actual gold sinks like tokens for consumption of gold to Blizzard or something.
A decent part of the player base is already buying gold. Who cares if Blizzard starts selling it.
If they could ban all the gold sellers, bots and buyers I would be more against it. However, they havenât been able to find a way to do that in the past 15 years. I doubt they would ever be able to find a way to do it honestly. Its an incredibly complex problem to stop.
This not only does not make any sense but also will never happen. Our servers will remain as they are and [quote=âProtnshock-korgath, post:1, topic:877339â]
To be dully noted I hate the idea of WoW Tokens in Classic/TBC but I just donât see another way at this point.

WoW tokens will add a good benefit for TBC and its players.
