I’m sure this has already been beaten into a dead horse and beyond. I’m maining a shaman for TBC. Leaning more toward ele than ehance then plan to go resto for raiding unless I just fall in love with ele. My main question is this. I want just like everyone to make enough and more than enough gold for it not to be an issue. What profs would you recommend for ele / enhancement for profit and or self benefit like gear etc.? I was thinking skinning/ LW for money and gear/ profit. Seeing alot of LW/ BS or LW/ ENCH. I don’t plan on no lifing but I do want to be able to make money and have useful profs. Any opinions and why you chose that are appreciated!
If you are not scare from respeccing professions
LW/BS is fairly self sustaining.
You get a BiS armor and mainhand for Enhance.
As for Ele still the Armor
LW falls off with P2 so at that point you could level engi instead of LW or keep LW for the Drums.
LW/Skinning.
Lot of people will be skinning to level up LW and then will drop it for a different profession. Keeping a steady supply of leathers that are used for consumes or re-rolls will be solid money. Especially if you farm cleft hoof or other more niche leathers(like cobra scales).
Getting primal nethers for the leg enchant will also net a decent amount, but the number of leather workers will be pretty high so might not be very exclusive.
I’ve never really been good at professions usually just HB/ ALCH . I’m a simple man with simple pleasures. so the idea of leveling 2 crafting profs gets my head spinning with anxiety lol that and I dont have alot of gold to work with. Thank you for your insight!
If time is no concern to you you can always start with skinning/Mining.
get a “shopping list” for fast level and just gather materials on your way to 60
That’s kinda what I was thinking easier to level and just casually as I go. Then decide end game profs
