I see people talking about how they’re going to level, but not much said about how long it’s going to take you to even get in the game come Pre-Patch. My guess it’s going to be worse than Classic was. Remember having to log in in the afternoon to get into the que so that when you get off work you could play? I really hope the ques aren’t as bad as it was for classic, but i’m thinking it’s going to be just as bad or worse if they don’t have something done to reduce the times.
Im transferring to a pve server to not deal with all the people saying they are gonna just grief people so im gonna just stay away from mankrik and shouldnt be too bad lol
LaYeRiNg
even with layering, there is only a limited number of players who can be logged in at a time. layering is just gonna make hellfire a dumpster fire and not full on hell.
Layers, some servers will need hard locks in place to prevent new players.
Locked servers are lucky because they will have fewer% tourists.
Aye, it’s going to have to be heavily layered, but if you remember when classic came out there were still hours and hours of ques just to get in, even with heavy layering. Layering does nothing to fix the que times we’re in for. Myself I remember being in ques for 4-6 hours.
What server did you choose?
We were on Herod and Pagle.
i was unemployed when it came out so i just got up super early when people were still asleep, got in and just insured i didnt time out all day XD
Just set up a dungeon group.
That’s what I’m doing.
Can’t grief me in a dungeon lol
Hrm, Pagle only had ques the very first day.
Odd.
But the issue is to many people drinking the Reddit/Youtube/Twitch cool aid and rolling all on one server and faction.
It’s going to be painful, but so was launch during the first TBC too.
Good luck to us all.
I’m still urked they overlooked the whole, using Retail Hardware capacity to put retail populations ON VANILLA MAPS.
Sure, the server can handle it, but where is everyone gonna go? No expansion maps to populate, just vanilla zones.
Oy!
I plan to level through dungeons anyways so i can build up my reputations while leveling
Yeah so there is no need to xfer was my point.
No one can hurt you ina dungeon.
Im doing the same thing as my hunter will be my pve toon and im lvling him first, i need exalted with Honor Hold for the epic gun.
Dungeons at the start will get you to honored.
Then do the quests, then the lvl70 dungeons till exalted.
Worse, TBC maps are smaller than Vanilla.
Even in Retail, it was tradition for high levels to be hanging around Hellfire and just flatten you while questing.
It was the typical “Welcome to Hellfire” experience. This was back in Cata->Legion.
Hellfire is gonna be fun.
It’s gonna be more a madhouse than the original TBC, even if they do layers it’s gonna be freaking nuts
Especially with everyone ready to buy their epic flyer out of the gate.
Can’t fly until lv 70… cept think druids got normal flight form at 68
Level 70 required for the epic and 68 if I remember right for the standard flyer
Lol the guy above me got to it first
