TBC or new content?

Would you rather blizz release tbc in couple of years

Or

Release new content for classic while keeping all the same game design and philosophy?

I would say they just add new content. Finish the unfinished zones.

Remember, tbc is when they added arena and then class “balancing” became a thing over class fantasy

TBC was better, so TBC

That’s just false because TBC was the only option.

Leave Classic alone. forget TBC.

TBC doesn’t mean you’d lose classic.

TBC release = Classic over. What do you mean it doesn’t? separate server?

You could have separate servers from Vanilla and BC, equivalent of a different private server.

They just release tbc servers to which you can copy your toon.

Or just start a new level 70 toon

I don’t think it’s good idea from business point. That could just start of open a can of worms. Then what? Separate server for Wotlk? separate server for Cata/MoP? It will be disaster to maintain.

Honestly I’m sorta torn between the two. I know everyone would love to see Hyjal completed, the top of Eastern Kingdoms completed, etc.

But TBC brought so much QOL stuff to classes especially the hybrid ones (which are arguably getting shafted in classic, sorry to all who are playing one).

If I had to guess, this is gonna be a full out war if they announce anything close to a phase 7/TBC

Classic wasn’t a good idea from a business standpoint either. It competes with their own game, and can’t be monetized as heavily. There are many people like me who waited 10 years + to re-experience BC and WotLK, not Vanilla… though Vanilla is a whole lot closer to what I want than BFA. In the end, these are people that wouldn’t be playing Blizzard games otherwise, so having those people back under their wraps is a good thing for them, even if they aren’t able to substantially monetize them.

Create a new line of expansions that stay with the original spirit of WoW. Alternatively, grow Classic WoW with no expansions per se but just an ever evolving game world that doesn’t take the route of retail WoW.

What do you mean by bringing qol to hybrid classes ?

Seperate server option yes.

I honestly highly doubt we get past Wrath but I think Classic-Wrath will bring in and hold a nice number of lost subs.

I wouldn’t mind some canceled content, like the housing ideas from pre-release, azshara BG, etc.

I think it’s important to keep in mind, some of that was cancelled with good reason.

People will be very eager for TBC after about a year of classic.

My personal desire is to eventually have the content originally planned for Vanilla maybe released.

I doubt they will have Classic, TBC, and Wrath servers. Way too much upkeep, but hey you never know.

If the new content is kept in the same frame of Vanilla, I would be fine with content after Naxx.
