Because BC overrode Vanilla, and Vanilla ceased to exist.

At the cost of eliminating the prior style/mechanics, of what the game used to be. We all know Retail and Classic are two different games. It’s the same with BC. This is where a lot of people are going to disagree with me on. I don’t know much about the Private Server community, but I am curious if they allowed Character Copies from Classic Private Servers over to the BC Private Servers.
