TBC is too soon. Most people are not even 60 yet

I have many friends that play classic that are not even 60 yet and you are already raising the level cap to 70. SMH

they have time in pre-patch and will have to get 30% less experience :wink:

If you’re not 60 after nearly 2 years, you haven’t been playing.

Not to mention increased quest experience

Well, technically it’s 15% less experience, about 20% more experience from quests, earlier mount acquisition, a new questing area, and less travel that all adds up to 30%ish faster leveling.

Troll or small IQ. Can’t tell which.

Classic has been out for almost TWO YEARS. How long do you need?

Classic is not a custom game for your friends. If they failed to get to 60 in TWO YEARS, the game is not for them.

While there might be a few people who started late most players have multiple 60’s.

Well in your case the prepatch can’t come soon enough. If anything the prepatch will help catch you and your friends up.

If the played like I did sure, but honestly if any one gave it a decent shot they would be 60. They probably even have 2 60’s.

Darn. They’ve only had 21 months!

Ikr?

From testing on beta, the xp reduction per level starts at ~18% @ lvl 20 and scales to a full 25% @ lvl 59. It averages out to a little over 22% total reduction post lvl 20. Comparisons of quest rewards (for an admittedly smallish sample size) showed an increase of ~42% additional quest xp for quests in STV at least. I’m not sure these are truely bliz-like tbc numbers but I’ll take em. This should allow significantly faster leveling, faster than what most people were even expecting.

Haven’t really seen to much in the way of 42% increases, more like 20% quest increases in the quests we’ve tested.

Also around that level (my wife’s hunter is 40 something)

Is this another roundabout way to get an anti-boost thread started?

I just retested and they’ve definitely made some adjustments here. The xp required for lvl 58 is only reduced by 18% now from 195000 -> 159900 which is less of a reduction then the last time I tested. Also two quests tested resulted in:

  • Cleansed Water Returns to Felwood - 2700 -> 3900 = 44.4444%
  • Linken’s Memory - 5450 -> 7900 = 44.95%

Looks like the increased quest xp is still sitting around 44% increase which is great.

2/10.

Bad trolling is bad.

Never got a clear indication from blizzard how much quest XP was increased, unlike xp to level which they said was about 15% overall, so your calculations may be right.
