You don’t know how pserver communities work do you?
I really hope so. TBC was amazing and it would be a dream come true if I could experience it again just like we’re about to re-experience vanilla.
aka we will see what our investors think about their returns.
Would love me some TBC Karazhan!
What about the pserver players who have been playing vanilla for years? I will play classic forever. It hasn’t faded for pservers so why would it fade in classic?
We’ll be following the Classic community closely to help determine what our next steps should be.
TBC was mentioned specifically, but this is a general statement and an answer to:
More content for classic or moving to TBC?
It’s either a bad answer or miscommunication.
I just want to play a Belf Holy Pally in the expansion they first appeared in
Yay!
My thoughts:
- Must be separate server realms. WOW Classic realms stay as-is.
- Must not be released until a notable amount of time has passed from release of Phase 6. Don’t divide the population until players have had their chance at Naxx.
- I’d rather any character copy / transfer type thing not be added at first. Let the TBC community build and the economy develop “fresh”, not bloated by people who stockpiled in WOW Classic waiting for it.
- Do not apply all the nerfs of 2.3 and 2.4 to attunements and heroic dungeons. (This one I want, but don’t actually expect to get, except maybe as Phases that eventually lead to TBC Classic being what led into Wrath.)
If Classic realms stuck around so would I, thought TBC would cleave the population a fair bit I’d wager. It is well loved by many after all, and I can’t begrudge them that.
Question. Will the classic servers turn into TBC servers? So we progress from 60 to 70?
If this is legit, then I am definitely progressing on to BC after I get fully geared and clear all of the vanilla content. Barring Blizzard possibly adding extra content that wasn’t previously seen in the original game, then to Outlands I go!!!
The current player base isn’t going to play forever en masse. Some will, yes, which is why I wouldn’t want to see the classic servers all switch over to TBC. But for the player base that would eventually stop playing classic, TBC servers would give them more game to play instead of just quitting.
they just going to release the game over 15 more years?
if we get tbc ill nut so hard.
I want to do heroic mgt again.
Well you said changes so that could mean anything… changes to classic… changes to BC… im was jus tlooking for clarification
I’d rather get a one-time copy for each Classic toon (one-time to prevent copy spam to build up easy gold).
That way you keep your Classic toon there, and can progress that toon through BC on those servers.
I totally agree with all of these points. This seems reasonable to me.
or one time character copy (per character from the previous “pristine” ) server. that way players never have to loose their classic characters and at some point could return.
Or Realm copy all the realms and use that as the base for the new expansion with out loosing the Classic time capsule.
I actually like resilience. Differentiates PvE and PvP gear so you don’t have to engage in in one to be better at the other unless you just want to.
No…most likely they will do a “classic Trilogy” ending with wrath…before cata rearranged everything…they could span this out almost 10 years if they wanted
