Tbc guild disbanding over micro transactions

10 people on our 25 man roster are now quitting with the announcement of the microtransaction mount they all know blizzard wont stop with just this mount and I know it too. Please blizzard dont do this just leave tbc untouched and make us pay more do not add cash grab mounts like this.

Good lord, it hasn’t even been “announced” and your guild is already crumbling? Maybe they should disband if they can’t handle some datamined strings

I just unsubbed also

well, first of all, it’s for a deluxe edition (you know, that thing literally every WoW expansion has had and no one ever batted an eye over before) not a store mount

and second, it hasn’t even been announced it’s been datamined, for all we know it may not even make it to live to begin with

if this is really so heartbreaking then your guild probably should break up

yeah bro blizzard is totally paying me for damage control you got me in one good job

if this is really the only response you can come up with to someone telling it like it is then I feel sorry for people who actually converse with you on a regular basis

I’m gonna ride my store mount on my boosted toon and enjoy the hell out of my favorite ever expansion. I’m sure they will all be back.

High-key if something that isn’t even confirmed yet got your group so angry, then I genuinely worry for their mental health.

I would recommend directing them to a therapist.

I don’t condone the OPs outburst, but if this the route we end up going, then it is certainly troubling. A digital deluxe edition of an old Xpac is definitely grounds for being called a “cheap cash grab.” Because at that point it IS.

But I’m confident even blizzard wouldnt stoop that low…

I’m going to add this on my list of things that didn’t happen.

Either that or you weren’t playing with rational adults to begin with, so probably dodged that bullet in TBC where everyone has individual responsibilities.

personally, I just find it pretty hypocritical to chastise them for this and then turn around and say past deluxe/collector’s editions were a-ok. I think the mount is ugly as hell and wouldn’t plan to get it regardless, but that’s neither here nor there…

either way, like I said it’s still just a datamine, so there’s no evidence it’d even make it to live in the first place

A for-profit company selling products for money? Stooping low?

Good lord, I wish I was born 30 years earlier.

-_-…Dumbest response yet. Close to “Go PlAy ReTaIl” unintelligent comments.

If your guild is disbanding over a rumor based on a datamine, which in itself makes no assumptions of how this mount will be obtained, then your guild was never stable enough to last through BC

I get where you’re coming from, but I think the issue most people have with it is the fact that there already was a collectors edition for tbc. Adding a second one just feels cheap.

Ofc, this is all speculation, nothing confirmed, yadda yadda

Yes well you are talking to the #nochanges crowd. You can’t reason with them. They are stuck to their opinions and no amount of rathonale will change their minds regardless of whatever is left of their minds.
