I think that the argument about guilds forcing it is invalid. What a guild cant force you to do, is be in the guild. If my guild tried to force me to run 2 specs when i didnt want to, then i would leave the guild and find a better one.
That kind of ultra hardcore mentality has no place outside of world first guilds. Particularly in classic. One thing that came out of classic is that there is no need for 99% of guilds to be that hardcore, because the content isnt hard enough to warrant it.

its a weak argument in TBC, but it is a good thing because it prevents willy nilly re-spec. If you want to go Respec for certain bosses then port and do it.
The point of not having dual spec is that you gotta actually PICK how you want to play, and cant just do it all.

Why is that casual? you are playing a game right? or is it something else to you? loyalty is a thing yes, but loyalty is something that is earned. And forcing the guild members into sacrifices that are not necessary when they dont want to does not inspire loyalty.
It sounds to me like your guild experiences have not been great, if you think that all ādadā guilds will do this.
It is casual because you would be unwilling to take the extra step that your guild asks of you.
You play Retail, how many times have you seen people change spec before a boss or heard someone ask to have their talents swapped around? It will happen, it will happen a lot. You remind me of the people that are like āYou donāt need world buffs, no one will ask you to get themā before classic launched.

Simply make it a dialogue option on your class trainer.
Hell, even a cheaper respec to a āsavedā talent and ui that you still pay for each time.
This is about sanding the edges of an already good game. Classic suffered because of respec costs.

what about a cooldown on the respec? require a player to be in a capital city? there are ways to avoid the guild reqing 2 pve specs, i personally love this idea DUEL SPECS FOR ME!
Yea, it 100% did.
To respec for outside of raid activities as a non-straight dps class, you are burdening yourself with an additional at least 1 hour of pure farming, just to play a different part of the same game. Itās incredibly limiting.

Really is not, you just gotta play better, its 100% possible to play the game under a single DPS spec, and do PVP as a DPS spec, you just accept that youāre not entirely optimal, but if you play well you can easily deal with it.
