Then blacksmithing must be a much more lucrative prof than tailoring. I no longer get skill ups from netherweave bags and nothing I can make sells on the ah.
I’ll do at least 2 dungeons tonight and I’ll do the math. I guesstimate 20 to 25 gold a run, half what you claim. I still have to save for my mount at 70 and will not spend any of it to respec. So I won’t do any pvp or farming on my holy priest because neither are fun to do without dual spec. And you think it was a good design choice to put tanks and healers in that position.
I’m saying it’s not necessary. I walked into tbc with only 200-250g from vanilla and in my level up time from 60-70 I did virtually 0 quests (unless there was a quest right outside the dungeon or someone shared)
I didn’t farm outside the dungeons except the bare minimum to keep up my mining with the veins that spawned in dungeons.
I hit level 70 with 1300-1400 gold
Edit: and this is with me tanking a large majority (probably 90%) of the dungeons I spammed from 60-70 and I basically exclusively did dungeons leveling
Nothing is necessary. The chronoboon, the drum nerf, the boost, a hvh bg change, none of it is necessary. I entered outland without an epic mount. I couldn’t afford it and it wasn’t necessary. I won’t be able to buy a flying mount at 70 either. It’s a game and it’s about fun. Are there problems that make the game less fun? Are there ways to deal with the problem that make the game more fun? Are there any potential down sides to making the change? I think the answers to those questions are yes, yes, and no if the question is adding dual spec. The case for dual spec has been amply made by many people here. And your claim that you can make one respec fee with one dungeon is unsupported even by the numbers you provided.
Lol OK just quote my first sentence and ignore ALL the other information I provided in my post. Where I literally made more than the cost of my mount by just running dungeons only as dps but tanking proving that you don’t need dual spec for the reason you’re complaining about nor do you need it because money is hard to make
My two cents as a main healer - Dual spec would keep me playing more and allow me to actually quest/farm at a reasonable pace as well as PvP more. I just do not have the gold to sink into respecing 5 times a week to play the game when I also need to spend that gold on enchants, gems, consumables, repairs, etc.
As it sits right now, I pretty much raid log and play other games in between raids.
The only reason I replied to your post and the only thing I’ve been discussing with you is your utterly ridiculous claim that you can make 40 to 50 gold with one low level dungeon run. Your own numbers prove you’re wrong. There are many reasons to add dual spec. I and many others have made those arguments in other posts.
No. I’m advocating for dual spec, because it would be good for the game. Every good private server had dual spec for a reason. You’re just a troll posting from an alt character.
