No one plays a “shaman tank” because they aren’t tanks. Keyboard turning and clicking in 2022, yikes.

If you look up the original (prior to 1.12) talent trees for Shamans, Enhancement was definitely designed with tanking in mind.
It’s not you. I’m not allowed to give names on the forums because of the rules, but if he comes into the thread you’ll know lol.
I raid meta, but have some offbeat fun in the game in other ways. I love seeing people challenge themselves, that’s why I made that post. These threads tend to attract some nasty types (a lot of them troll other threads too) who will only play meta and will insult people who do not.
Anyway, keep making up challenges for yourself and shammy tanking or whatever else and having fun.
When I raid, I raid meta, or as meta as possible with my work/raid schedule. I don’t get true tank gear until all the tanks and off tanks get it. So it’s just a fun outlet to try something different on an almost 20 year old game. And fortunately, my guild is very supportive
And to make things even better, some people asked me after the ZA video if shamans have ever been able to take Supremus’ hatefuls in BT. Well, today I got a chance to do just that in a BT pug that I joined this morning (They let me be one of the soakers due to my high HP). And here is the video!
This is awesome!! Also on my retail shaman I tanked heroics and things in brutal glad gear during original tbc and it was fun. I also shaman tanked (including some 40 man content) during classic which was tons of fun too. I thought about trying it again for tbc but haven’t put any effort into it mostly because it was hard even to get people to let me do it during classic for them. I’m sure it would be even harder during tbc classic. People seem to just deny anything that isn’t the meta and kill any idea of fun, as you can see from some of the comments on here.
How can he grieve anyone if everyone willing Joined his group knowing well whay they were doing…

My shaman is also a shaman tank and people are laways surprised when I tank dungeons. Tanked all the way to 70 and still tanking normal dungeons.
I only jabe s1 and a few pieces of s2 pvp gear, but over all Im having fun.
So happy I came acorss this video!! Str8 inspiration and a new goal try!!
My main is pally and I tanked in classic with no taunt! No taunt tanks are fun!

Sorry, haters are going to say that’s not tanking. It’s just soaking damage in a spot generally used by someone with high armor, high hit points and high threat. But definitely not a shaman tanking. That’s unheard of!
Totally it is hard to convince people to go to runs. I hope that changes, but yeah it is difficult.

I don’t think people are upset by someone being a shaman tank it’s the World First something no one has done or cared about. Like you are allowed to play stupidly and don’t have to post about it. I tanked lynx boss as shadow and didn’t die. WORLD FIRST SHADOW PRIEST TANK Vid incoming. Then to act like it’s good while keyboard turning, clicking, and back peddling is just a major yikes.
