Super excited to share the first run of Zul’aman fully main tanked by a shaman in TBC Classic. It was a very exciting run and huge thanks to everyone that joined in the craziness! I would love everybody’s feedback. Let’s keep the shaman tanking dream alive

It’s only a world first because nobody else cares.
Many things in the game are possible, but if it’s not a skill check, players aren’t goign to bother.
Shaman tanks threat cap the raid really hard, and require a massive amount of pvp gear to be worthwhile. Playing a shaman tank is selfish and grieffing everyone else present.
Well, I think it’s because no one has done it before 
. But yes, if there was more interest I’m sure someone could have done it earlier.
Also, I do think it’s a skill check. Especially on the healers 
Not really. We just need two pieces of PVP for the resilience since that is how we get to uncrit. I have way too much pvp gear because I just haven’t been able to get any other, better options. I need to replace the pvp shield, and pvp boots for other better pve alternatives for instance. 
I would say threat is… adequate. And there is an rng component.

It’s an easy raid with conventional tanks, adding spice with a shaman tank would actually be interesting.
I wouldn’t mind being in that raid, though if I’m going to be honest I wouldn’t do it with someone I don’t know.

What a scuffed run. DPS having to hold themselves, reminds me of Vanilla where people were just attacking with their wands…

There are only 2 healers. There is an enhance shaman marked as a healer in the raid frames.
I think Fasc is gone. He got really mad about the RDF thing and hasn’t been back.
So it’s unlikely he’ll say anything negative about the thread, and yes he probably would have (I did like some of his other stuff, not this).
My opinion is if people are having fun and they aren’t jerks about it then there’s no need to criticize. What’s wrong with people having fun? According to some being creative and thinking outside the box with friends shouldn’t happen. It’s best to just fall asleep out of extreme boredom while following metas like others do. “I’m a sheep so you’ve got to be a sheep too. This game is not made for fun, it’s made to worship spreadsheets. NO FUN ALLOWED!!!” ← This is the mindset of some of the blandest and most uncreative people who play the game.
I really like seeing people having a good time in the game and coming up with their own fun. The OP seems like a nice guy too so I have total respect. There’s another tank shammy who posts on here sometimes that I have no respect for because he blames others when he fails to shammy tank and is a jerk on the forums and seems to be one overall, but that’s not the OP. The OP seems like he’s just having fun with his guild.
WoW classic is a very old game, and not a hard one at that. Because of this there are many, many ways you could come up with to beat the content in the game if you put your mind to it.
One of my favorite game series is kind of like that. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. That game is really easy once you get used to it. But because of this you can pretty much play it however you wish. Are ceriten ways of playing harder than others. Of course, but one thing I enjoy is you can find a way to overcome the challenges if you play well enough in the game as it was very well designed. As I slowly work my way into streaming it is something I plan on working on myself.
(And don’t worry streaming fearful people here I would never stream an MMO. To much work and I have enough on my plate already.)
Anyways I enjoy seeing stuff like this done in any game. The meta is easy as it is the most viable thing in a game, but a strategy that the game isn’t designed for or just designed in the way that you are putting yourself at a disadvantage like Kingdom Hearts level 1 runs? That takes some level of effort.
it’s hilarious the people that get so bent out of shape over something not being 100% the most optimized way of doing things.
People have been literally clearing ZA with flying colours for a while now, clearly they are just doing something for fun while they still can.
Seriously stop getting bent out of shape over the fact others have fun in a different way than you do.
To be frank, I don’t see a reason why you need to be super sweaty and meta-sheepy 100% of the time.

He and his group had fun, and overcame a unique challenge, even if it was self imposed. I don’t see any reason to be rude to them.
