Could the tauren please get taunka and yaungol fur/horn options?
I really don’t want tauren to get overlooked during this overhaul.
Maybe down the road, additional heritage armor sets could be added to each? (Thinking mag’har heritage armor tints; only expanded upon)

Aren’t the Taunka and Yaungol technically a seperate but related species?
I would rather just fold the Highmountain options into the baseline Tauren and give the Horde Taunka as an AR.
Baine style horns and Highmountain rune carvings on said horns please.

It’s weird taunka aren’t available because they joined the horde in wrath. They were the first allied race

Yaungol and Taunka models would need updating.
I propose a set of body tattoos showing the best carving locations to ensure ideal marbling and tenderness. It is always good to be well nourished on the battlefield and at home.

99% sure we get nothing but super low hanging fruit (i.e., ez pickins low effort) skins with zero or vanishingly minimal 3D work.
Calling it now: they spent all their resources on Human and BElf customization, Tauren only get the datamined skin repaints we’ve seen so far.
Taunka and yaungol both have outdated models, weird faces, and no female models. We’d need a female model and the male models updated. Besides that, they should be playable, especially taunka, since they’re already in the Horde. I remember swearing them in.
There’s an NPC in Valley of Honor in Orgrimamr, Torkhan, wearing tauren heritage and using Grimtotem warpaints. That could suggest we’re getting Grimtotem in the Horde. I could also be looking into this too much.
The new war paints we are getting look great, though. Still tons work to do be done on tauren though. Hoping tauren/orcs get more, we’re lacking, and there’s pre-existing assets which could be given to us (Grimtotem war paints and Blackrock/Dragonmaw skin tones) that’d go a long way. Still hope we get more than just that and datamined stuff though.
Also note, most the tauren, hate, the Grimtotem. One of the tauren in the shaman order hall is pissed to even see Magatha enter. We’d want to drop Magatha and get some lore to have the Grimtotem rejoin if we were to have Grimtotem playable. (though, we don’t need it, just want it, seeing as we’re getting Farraki trolls in the Horde, who hate the Horde, and seemingly we’re getting no explanation, though this is very much subject to change)
Maybe my memory is messing with me, but I seem to recall working with a female taunka in the Howling Fjord.
Maybe I’m crazy; when I get off from work, I’ll have to go check.
Non-female yaungol models seems likely as there’s no female ogre models either. (How could Blizzard miss out on something so fundamental?)
Female taunka were around but they used the normal tauren model.
I like the idea of them looking more like an actual minotaur. I’ve never really gotten that feeling from them tbh. I think the removal of the hair/mane might give them that feel. Something I would like to see.
I like the Taunka. Someone said the face is a bit outdated. I can agree with that. Still I like the frame/structure of that head more than the current Tauren. I’ve always enjoyed the Taunka btw.
Another option I wouldn’t mind seeing for them is a more menacing face. I know it doesn’t fit to well with their demeanor, but with the way things are going with customization… I did really enjoy the menacing Worgen face.
I have stated this before on a list I keep updating. I figured I would post a new post with suggestions, just incase it isn’t getting acknowledged.
Other smaller suggestions just your typical stuff I guess. Like more horn styles, rings, paint.
As for the females to be more appealing to me I think they would need to change the snout. I’ve never really enjoyed that part of them. (profile included)
Also the taurens in general suffer from some really ugly hunchback but that is nitpicking but that is how I just feel. The awful hair tries to conceal it.
I don’t think they would put that much effort into fixing Taurens. Still I am just throwing out a lot of suggestions. Again if they just do the right changes to each race, it could potentially inspire people to create more.
