If you’d queued this season you’d know everyone is super deflated because matchmaking changes largely resolved super high xp groups queueing into super low xp groups.
The entire ladder is several hundred rating lower than normal.

The highest rated hunter in the bracket in the world right now has less rating than I did the first week of last season.
You can’t claim to care about facts and statistics then ignore something as obvious as a deflated and low activity season.
The highest rated teams in RBGs atm are barely into Elite (2400) bracket right now. Why? Because queues past 10 minutes long are not uncommon at as low as 1800 right now.

Please. Taking double lock because we can’t find double shadowpriest has happened more often. Nobody is “resorting” to a hunter in RBGs unless that hunter is on btag or word of mouth prevails.

If rated play is so unpopular, why are you worried about soloqueue killing random bgs, as you’ve mentioned in the past?
is rated play unpopular, or is the sheer overhead of putting together 10 people who are likely hotheads (relatively to pve players) unpopular?
Is rated play at similar MMRs unpopular, or are the game systems outdated and unpopular because they have less functionality than an addon 10 years ago did?
Is rated play unpopular because people don’t like playing rated content, or because they don’t like to get hoodwinked on a 2400 CR team by a 2400 achievement link that was actually generated by an addon?

I’m simply pointing out that if I’m in the top 20 at 1800, hunters are clearly not popular in the bracket, nor are they common.
It’s way less likely that I keep being the only person in queue for groups (who happens to be on the least played class in the bracket) than it is that I…have a good enough reputation and am one of the few hunters people are willing to queue with.

Could be, or you just know people.
Of course I know people. Everyone that queues rbgs frequently knows people. Because it’s the only way to consistently queue for rbgs.
That doesn’t mean you’re not an ape for assuming my role is “need a 10th, good thing there’s a hunter in queue!” when hunters are the least common class to find in your queue by a very wide margin.
Warlocks, like boomkins last season, are far more likely to be invited on the basis of simply existing.

Actually it does, because one of those annoying emote macros I’m always spamming is actually a target call macro, and it’s brutally effective in unrated and yolos.
