Targeted Corruptions and Faster Cloak Empowerment

Same for me… The number of pages to get to the next rank has remained unchanged for my account.

Having returned about a week ago from the start of this terrible expansion I can tell you that the implementation of Corruption has ensured that I will never buy another WOW expansion as long as this current design team is in place. Corruption is the most frustrating and broken system I have ever seen in any MMO.

Come at me White Knights!!

The number of pages on the quest tracker might not have changed, but doing a full clear should complete the quest regardless when you go back out. Wrathion should have the yellow ? over his head.

TLDR:

Thought you were done having having to run this boring single player content over and over? LOL Sucker!!!

Thank you for making weekly PvP rewards corruptible via hot fix.

So this benefits people who were already rank 12, but folks who needed to really catch up still need multiple runs to get to beach new level. That makes a lot of sense.

What?

No rank takes more than 1 run now. The most you ever need is 4 pages and you can get that in one run where you do both Lost and Corrupted areas.

At rank 8, clearing the whole thing is near impossible.

Just managed it on an alt. It was exciting but not impossible, I didn’t have to drink potions or anything.

You don’t actually have to kill the main vision boss.

I’ll have to take your word for it, cause there’s no way I could get through 2 zones, and it’s definitely not worth wasting vessels given the amount of time to farm them. :man_shrugging:

It depends on spec and gear. I typically can’t full clear until cape level 10 on 440ish alts and that’s usually just barely even with elite research and the on death proc. I could also barely full clear on a 450 priest at 10 on my last run to upgrade to 11, but priests are trash at visions.

Another factor is how many weeks you were saving currency before you started and if you were also getting the raid mementos that would push you a few points of research ahead compared to someone who didn’t.

I think the first few 4 page quests should be reduced to 2, and/or they should buff memento gain so you get through research faster.

cape below level 10 leveling is still very painful, and could not do the one vision one level thing, could you decrease the requirement just like from 14 -15? thank you

when you look at the dates that you may have to wait for to get the corruption you want again, it just really emphasizes what complete garbage the vendor rotation system is.

edit: I’ll add that the rate of echo gain, even if the rotation is hopefully removed eventually isn’t really ideal either. I think the system should be set up so that you want to get a lot of different corruptions and try out different builds, but between the way corrupting and removing corruption works and the rate of echo gain, it’s simply not reasonable for most people to even get one full set of corruptions let alone multiple.

I don’t think it would be out of line to remove the vendor rotation and quadruple echo gains from all sources. At the current rates for example, it takes over 40 M+ runs at a +8 to get enough echoes for a single 5k corruption. People who get their echoes from WQs and random BGs might as well give up now. The expansion will be over before they get anywhere.

If you removed vessels from the game and let people do as many visions as they wanted that would also be a great way to farm echoes, even if you reduced the amount per run a bit. It would also make cloak catch up not awful if you start now or level a new character now. Also letting people gain several resistance cores a week or even just until they’re caught up via visions would not be unreasonable at this point with only 6 months left in the year and SL supposedly coming out this year.
