do i still need to grind for ages to get r3 essences from that vendor due to it is a new acc on us and dont have any? instead of buying them for 2500 each.
Is this not active yet for the cloak catchup? I still require 4 pages, not 2.

If your at the 4 page stage, you can get 4 from one run.
It’s only down to 2 pages at the part that requires hard areas only.
1 run, 1 cloak level, I believe is what they said.
Here’s the rub, you had your advantages for your work, stronger essences for more time. Now it’s everyone who didn’t to have a slight advantage for a minimal amount of time, MAYBE. The vendor isn’t even implemented, but you CAN get your echoes now. You are also assuming that the BIS is gonna be right at the start, and assuming based purely on an example at that. You are complaining over hypotheticals, and your sides entire argument is:
Either take everything from everyone because they have something I don’t.
or
Give me more now, because they have more now.
Both are pretty entitled and childish. You have all the chances now to earn echoes. Go run visions, go run raids, go do WQs, and youll have a bunch before the vendor is in game
I bet the vendor was delayed just for this whinging.
But you have to do both lost areas as well. So now it’s easier to do your rank 13-14 than your 9-10?

Why am I being punished for playing the game and unlocking all the rank 3 essences? Not being rewarded with echoes while there’s people out there with a significant head start with the echoes currency ( I know people with 25k echoes) to buy whatever corruptions they want while I now have to farm them just because they elected not to purchase all of their rank 3 essences. This is ridiculous.
You still have to do both lost areas either way.
The problem is they’re using an existing currency that previously had no value to players who had all of their rank 3 essences and as such, we were never given the opportunity to collect it in the first place.
Now, this currency is suddenly useful and regardless of the fact that we can collect it starting today, we were not eligible to collect it for the past 2 months. This is inherently unfair, as some players were able to collect echoes for completing the same content as we did, yet we got nothing in return. They can’t place a sudden increased value on a currency some of us could never get in the first place and expect that a 5x multiplier will even the playing field because if I have 0 and you have 15k and we complete the same content, you’re still ahead by 15k.

i’ve said it before, and i’ll keep saying it… if someones ALT getting a 1-2 week advantage on corruptions over your main is enough to seriously affect you in any way what so ever… you where already so far behind the ball that the problem isn’t going to be fixed with corruptions.
- This update came way too late. The patch is essentially dead. Same thing happened with choosing legendaries in Legion. Came one patch before the prepatch when nobody cared.
- I’d be curious to understand how Blizz is usertesting to come up with some of these solutions. While this is the right direction, why add more RNG to when they’re available to purchase? And the ranks? I highly doubt any customer recommended or agrees with that.

Right but for lower ranks, you also have to do the other areas.
If you can do the 2 lost areas, the other areas are trivial, and possibly a net sanity gain. And if you can’t do the lost areas, you can still do the easy ones and progress, just takes 2 runs.
For the later stages, you MUST do the hard areas to progress. Just bailing after that easy ones is no longer an option.
And that’s supposed to be my problem why? Create a new currency then? Why do some players get a competitive advantage over others who have been completing the same content, but just did one thing different.
Uhh considering corruptions and the lack of RNG luck over and over and over again have made my 476 equipped guy less viable than the 465 equipped guy just because he has had better rng luck with corruptions, you’re wrong. People with MAINs who have 25k echoes who are able to go buy whatever corruptions they need while i’m sitting on 100 echoes and actually need them to make my character worth a damn is asinine. And if you are too stuck up to acknowledge that, you’re not even worth conversating with.

They should create a new currency or award those of us who could never collect echoes in the first place retroactively for the content we completed.
The root of the problem here is we were never given the opportunity to collect echoes because the decision was made for us; we couldn’t do it even if we wanted to. For the last two months, if you completed an assault/emissary/M+/BG/etc, you got echoes for it and I got nothing for completing the same content and it was completely out of my control. Effectively, players who did NOT stay on top of current content are being rewarded now, while those of us who did are punished for playing the game.

You aren’t being punished? You have access to get them now, and there is no vendor as of now, so no one has any lead over you. You would be being punished if you were locked out of it for good…but you aren’t. I mean same mindset would be: “Why am I being punished for being a parent, and I can’t spend my life raiding and getting best gear” it doesn’t work does it?
