Gushing wound needs to be nerfed
That is a big issue with me too. I am getting echoes right now on fresh 120 without the cloak. If I have to get the cloak before I get any essences I might as well just go play another game again for the next little while.
This punishes people for dedicated to their mains. Simple as that.

Reamed if your main already unlocked everything, before Mother was around with the essences (main then earned no echoes.)

Reamed if you were DUMB, like me, trusting Blizzard and spending TONS of echoes to unlock the other spec essences (which you never play) so that your alts (such as my Hunter), would now see them on Mother. So unknown to YOU, there was no earning of echoes AFTER that so I’m stuck at 750 (and for the LIFE of me, I can’t EVER remember Blizzard saying it would work that way…)

Reamed DOUBLY, if you were dumb enough to do that like me while your alts are HARDLY PLAYED so they don’t even have the echoes to buy those rank 3 essences you REAMED yourself to unlock! So you could have done it WAY later, casually, with extra echoes you felt you had then when the alt had enough.
The slaps in the face are just more than any heretofore seen slaps, EVER! Unless they calculate all the things I did, after being stuck at 750, and reimburse me; somehow I SERIOUSLY doubt it!
hate to break it to you, but if the idea that someones alt having a 1-2 week head start over your main is somehow putting you at a disadvantage. you where already far behind the curve to begin with.

what do u mean DPS corruption isn’t for healer? the faster u kill the boss/mob the less u have to heal the tank or the raid
Another currency would be way better, or a higher multiplier. It’s not fun being behind for having all essences

The only thing I don’t like about all this is the increased Essence price. Leaving it at 500 would streamline the power progression for new 120s even more.

This, I now feel like we’re in a position where my alt with literally tens of thousands of echos is in a better position than my main.
then make them your new main if the difference is that extreme.
I think everyone would enjoy being able to buy some corruption right off the bat, so instead of a currency reset how about just give toons who weren’t able to earn them something like a 20k echoes bonus?
I can farm 50k+ after reset on my main. This is a non issue.
No thanks. And that’s not the major issue with this. Ignoring the fact that this new feature is completely useless for M+ players at highest ilvl gear and telling them to “do the raids” is not the answer.
Just reiterating what everyone here has already said. I feel short changed for doing all the things on my main. I just wish all the dailies, keys, boss killings, visions, would have provided me with currency.
I skipped 8.2 so I’ve had to earn rank 3s from scratch which has been a pain - I’d love some kind of catchup for returning players. Why not be able to buy rank 3s even if you don’t have one earned? make it cost more maybe? aside from returning players, some are just out of reach for a lot of people like blood of the enemy, conflict and strife etc.

How about they just remove all the time gates from the old content?
BiS PVE essences available ONLY for doing medium to high level PVP… Working as intended!

As I currently have 4 out of 6 pages towards my rank 14 cloak, will turning my quest to the rank 14 trash my other 2 pages for the rank 15?
And the same issue goes as everyone else’s also, since the main characters did not accumulate any echoes, is there a system that is going to calculate and give some for them?
I certainly would not want to lose the 2 pages that I currently have in my possession.

You arent at such a big disadvantage.
the rewards has been out for what 5 weeks?
Your main will be able to farm echoes 5times faster than all the people who sat on their echoes… you’ll catch up in no time. The curve will flatten itself in 2-3 weeks.
I cant believe people decked out in mythic gear are complaining that theyre behind anything.
You are done, go have fun, who cares because someone might have 1 more corruption than you. By the time you can wear all rank 3 on every slot this is not going to matter.
If you already do the highest of keys and raid, you will beat 99% of the playerbase and those who this is targeted for (alts). Even if you start at 0.
