Target Calling Help!

Hi, Since Melee are usually set as the TC for RBGs… I need to learn how exactly to TC properly.

This xpac being my first ever to set foot in RBGs I’m not really sure how or when something needs to be done.

Let’s say the opposite team has the busted casters of this xpac, you got 1 Mage (Fire) and 2 Locks (Destro), or the other type being 3 Destro locks or 3 Fire Mages. Who do you swap to? What would be the priority focus if the 2 melee are training your healers while greater pyros and chaos bolts are flying along with 2-3 healers in the fight as well?

I just went against something like that and froze up for a bit because I’m not really sure how to handle that sort of situation which is obviously the worst thing to do as TC so I’m looking for guidance.

Sure I could call for CC on the healers and focus the one mage or lock but then CBs and Pyros are still flying and the Melee are still on your healer so then what? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Usually dk’s since they can grip in, but idk. I feel for ya this expansion with broken caster (well just fire & destro), wouldn’t know what to do. Wondering if a priest is a must for that 70% dome now.

Then you should try a switch to one of those melee if they extend too far, you can get a healer sometimes to push to close for a quick switch.

Kill stuff that’s in the frontlines, if they use a defensive cd, swap to the next closest thing.

If there’s a caster close by and your kick is off cooldown make a quick swap on your own to kick them just to get it on cd and to stop freecasting, then swap back to the frontlines.

If your kill target is a caster and you’re going to have multiple people with interrupts potentially overlapping them, kick something else close by.

After you get a kill or two you’ve basically won the team fight already you can make more risky target calls like a healer in the back or whatever because they’re outnumbered at that point and have no kill pressure anymore.
