When Wrath Babies play classic. It’s not their fault. Wrath taught them the wrong way to tank and since that was their first time playing, they thought it was always like that.

I imagine it’s a response to DPS not waiting for them gain threat and get their sunders up, so they just resort to whatever they think will damage the pack and help keep aggro.

Demo shout + battle shout in defensive stance causes way more threat, and doesn’t require you to change stance.
Thunderclap is not a tank ability.

It was another war trying to tell me how to tank. The dude was so trigger when I told him he was wrong, then I left the party. At that point he whispers me and says he knows more about the game cuz he had a 2s rating in arena with every class. LOL WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING… hilarious the people we have on this game now.
Oh, then he ignored me like a lame. It was so pathetic.
Ah yes, arena. Where all the Vanilla players go to learn how to play their class in dungeons and raids.

I’ve technically played the game off and on for the entire 20 years, and it was the dumbest thing I’ve ever dealt with. The entire party was also biffing most my pulls. I deleted my horde toons and rolled an ally rogue as a matter of fact. The sweaty posers that have rolled horde for the racial meta have really done it this time.
It’s even weirder when they tank with a shield in prot stance, it’s vanilla, spam whirlwind in berserker, hold threat through dps.
Tanking with a shield is fine. Taking less damage saves healer mana, resulting in less drinking time between pulls.
Cleave groups obviously go ham with 2H. But in regular groups, running with a shield is fine, and certainly not the “wrong” way to tank.

Yeah vanilla is funny, players learned just let the highest DPS warrior fury tank, and the boss dies in seconds.
Switching to shield and defensive after SS/WW is bis. Staying in zerker is just trolling the healers and slows down runs.
The second boss in rfk with two bodyguards. I tried to sheep one because tank was getting wrecked. He kept on thunderclapping it out of sheep. Didn’t even try to kite the mobs away.

Lotta warriors like tanking LBRS in zerker stance wearing mostly leather armor. Warriors are the new hunter in classic.
Its not exactly intuitive to understand that sunder armor is the single best threat button you have.

Well kinda is because they’re ignorant of the mechanics and yet most of em claim to be “Gamers”.
Worse they want to change the game to adapt to them… rather than play better.
