Tanks should be handed out their gear on a silver platter. I wish everyone would try to tank. I love my tanks

I know right! First you have to push a button and then, get this, you have to push an entirely DIFFERENT BUTTON. Meanwhile the dps’r are over here doing mental gymnastics trying to figure out if they need to roll their face left or right on their keyboard /s

Bwahahah, good one champ. People really seem to forget that without good DPS and good Heals the run is over even if the tank knows back-to-back the dungeon.

Kinda full of yourself aren’t you? Sitting at 194, looks like you’ve certainly got your share of loot this expac.
I almost exclusively tank this expansion and i disagree with OP, I will take 3 good DPS that can dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge all day long. Ive been in groups where me and the healer are on point and we don’t time cause the leet deeps can’t do mechanics, DPS is a dime a dozen…good DPS is harder to find then tanks and healers.

As much as I can understand where the OP may be coming from, if they did, tanks would gear far quicker and in the long term this may lead to an even greater tank shortage then we already have. Then what, have to bribe those tanks even more, which would cause some players to take up tanking and lead to an influx of bad tanks who only are doing it for the bonuses and not caring about actually tanking.
I would agree except for the amount of times I’ve seen a healer or a DPS showing the way at the front of the pack, or telling the tank “WAIT! Not that way! This is actually the fast route to time this!”
Unless that has changed since BFA

And considering a good lock or hunter player can replace a tank anyway…the healer is more important to the group as a whole.

EVERYONE should be guaranteed a piece of loot from the Dungeon.
There isn’t a single player in this game who’s time is so invaluable that they should be able to fight their way through the dungeon and come back with nothing to show for it.

That might be true, at least on normal pugs. But that doesn’t change the fact that knowing the best route is the tank’s duty, not the healer’s.
I’d say its everyone’s duty.
Everyone should be learning and memorizing the routes.

Easy guarantee for loot: 1 plate wearing tank, 3 plate wearing dps, 1 plate wearing healer. Run dungeons until you’re all geared and swapping pieces with each other! Ezpz
First and foremost I respect you as well as every other tank out there. It is not easy tanking but you have to understand that all those things you listed can be easily done with addons and weakauras as well. I personally don’t understand why some people think their role is more important than someone else’s. I main heals and have been a healer for over a decade. Not once have I thought dps or the tank was doing less than me. In m+ and raids it is a group effort.
