Any tanks noticing other tanks queing as dps? I’m a pally tank at heart and was just in a dungeon and noticed another pally tank. I said “Two pally tanks” he laughed and said “So scrub?”. I just said okay you can tank and left. Lol Not sure if anyone else is noticing this. Happy hunting!

Sounds fun I’d like to do 5 Tank Heroics.
The most fun I’ve ever had Raiding was in doing 30 Tank Heroic Raids in BFA. Stacking Twilight Dev and SotW essence. It was such a good time and hilarious. The ultimate Tank and Spank.
Honestly you should be happy because 2 Tank heroics probably be faster and smoother.
I remember the days of stacking 5 dk’s. XD That was a blast.

Im not saying thats the reason but at least in any cotent that is not max level , being another tank instead of dps is pretty doable since tank are kinda boosted in the lower levels compared to dps .
I’ve had the opposite experience. There’s been dps queing as tanks. Most of the time the runs went smooth, but still. There’s dual spec, and it’s not that expensive. They could at least spec as the role they queued for.
Not sure about your situation but I was in a deadmines and the tank immediately left. I switched to prot and tanked up to the first boss till we found a new tank and right when he joins he started complaining about me being in prot spec and said “no wonder the other tank left”

Reminds me of the original Wrath release where we had 5 Blood DK doing Ramps and Blood Furnace. Good times.

I’ve seen this more on retail. Typically they are vengeance demon hunters that think they can dps like a regular dps.
That said, I’m not surprised. I play a prot pally in cata also and the damage is busted for AOE. I’ve seen tank mains switch to dps specs and then need on tanking gear claiming their main spec is tank. They should just tank their own dungeon, then they can be the only one to roll on the tanking equipment. That parry rating really adds a lot of dps I guess.

yesterday my dk friend only play UH and he was put tank in the RDF … kinda weird ! he queued as dps !!
To be fair i see most tanks out dpsing the dps by a fair margin

They get a few seconds and a rotation in before we even touch the mobs or boss. In Cata most tanks don’t stack stamina and go for bigger DPS for more threat. This is common.

Tell me you don’t know how Tanks work without saying. 
Stamina isn’t just your biggest stat weight due to multiplicative synergies. It’s also your biggest threat and damage increase. (More stamina = More attack power) Stamina is how you go for more threat/damage.
Some of these threads really hurt to read.

I was correcting your horrible claim that Tanks don’t stack Stam and go for bigger Dps when stamina literally is your go to stat for bigger Damage/Threat/EHP.
Avoidance Tanks go for CTC and others utilize Mastery for mitigation then Stamina for Damage/EHP. Tanks are stacking Stamina. Once you have enough Mastery you do in fact gem Stamina. Tanks will use Stamina trinkets, enchant Stamina etc.
Avoidance also does nothing vs Magic soooo you better be Stacking Stam. I don’t think you know how Tanking works. Especially this phase. Stamina is where it’s at unless you enjoy being 1-2 shot. Since CTC cap isn’t possible yet there isn’t enough Mastery.
Notice above the +60 stam gems…Why? Oh that’s right it’s BiS. Double Stam trinkets, no Mastery there.
Like I said you don’t stack stamina anymore and go for more DPS and threat with mastery. Thanks for verifying my point.

Tanks are stacking Stam and if you aren’t you are a bad Tank.
