I really think over the years they have forgotten the point of mythic+. It’s a race to the end
You are the problem.
I don’t “do” M+ but in legion and BfA I did some when friends asked because they needed a reliable player. +15/16 back then was the highest I did.
The tank in your group is the tank. Doesn’t matter if they are a pro gamers or some 60 year old granddad.
DPS job is to follow the tank and be quiet. Do their damage as well as they can and that’s it.
Doesn’t matter the tanks skill level or abilities. Impatient and entitled gamers is why neither of my tanks will be doing any M+ unless it’s with guildies and friends.
You choose to run timed content. You maybe shouldn’t do that.
But it is fun. It’s fun to get better at learning each mobs attacks, the best tricks to handle and position bosses, how to time your defensives and also to meet new people.
Last boss of Stonevault. The tank pulls that entire room and tanks them 10 feet away from the boss, leaving zero space to move anywhere. The trash proceeds to cover all the floor you have with AOE, if you move too much you aggro the boss and wipe.
Solution: don’t tank in the boss room.
Syntax: position error.
Moral of the story: fix your positioning.
Yeah… good job kiddo. Proved his point and your completely oblivious to that fact. Hilarious.
I have, it is fun to misdirect whole rooms with barrage and watch them npc struggle lol.
Its funny , the hook mechanic was a problem during shadowlands, and its still a problem during TWW. I laughed when it came out NW was in the rotation cause i knew what time it was lol
Tanking is very stressful.
I’m immune to it but I ain’t blind. It is very obvious why there is and always has been a shortage.
lmao.
Tanking is the easiest role in the game outside M+. But even then, once you’ve nailed the routes, you’re not gonna be able to control bad players and the healer will get all the blame.
No, achievements on one character generally don’t show up on the armory for other characters. Some do, mist don’t. Pretty silly to try to out people based on that.
You can see if someone has current tier CE by the mount list
Funny how none of those crying Tank post mention that tanks have been about the most toxic players in games for the past 20 years acting like despot, dropping group for just about any reason, forcing groups to kick someone just because they feel like it or just acting like little spoiled brat…
Maybe what tanks are getting today is just what they deserve.
Leaving a key because people are being toxic/abusive is a healthy boundary by a well-adjusted person
Staying in that key is effectively being a brown-noser and shows a lack of self-respect.
By the time people have started typing instead of playing the key is dead anyways
This might be one of the weirdest, most insane things I’ve read on the forums. What a massively weird thing to say.
Maybe groups in general. I ran the weekly Cinderbrew, Stone and Wrath TW yesterday on this alt (Tree main), and every group was bad. Standing in bad, pulling unnecessary trash. It was a Sh!tshow, obviously.
How so? As a healer main with this tank alt I ALWAYS see DPS are the crybabies
Tanks are just as toxic as your average player. A lot of tanks think they have to MDI pull in low level keys. They rush and cause deaths when there is no need to.
The biggest problem with WoW is the community and if you tried to solve the problem you would probably kill the game.
I think Tanking is fun. I definitely see how a string of toxic players could kill the experience though. I usually play with another person in discord so now matter what happens I’m having a good time. All the issues with Tanking in my opinion are clueless players who watched a video on YouTube that think they are pros now. This is usually the same dps players with 3 defensive uses per dungeon and less than 10 interrupts. Want to be able to swap them out mid key for the follower bots.
Can you as a tank finish high keys with only a healer on time?

Imo healer is the one that carries this game and likely the hardest role in here. Sure, people expect tanks to know the route and whatnot, but a healer’s responsibility is bigger.
That said, to think or say DPS do not matter is an exaggeration and a superiority complex. Being a tank in wow is playing a videogame, not being the MVP of a sport or the best pilot of the air force.
The super toxic people you want to avoid…always out themselves in chat and forums.
