Obviously it’s the tank and healer’s fault that the dps are idiots.
No threat manager guy is a real gem for sure.
So is Holy Paladin who’s not healing but instead trying to DPS; that’s a real adventure!
But those phat seal of wisdom procs though!
I haven’t tanked a single pug heroic so far.
Seems like a masochistic thing to do.
Sure they are, grandma.
Now, let’s get you back to bed with some pudding.
I wouldn’t pay 1 copper for your useless skills. TBC heroics aren’t even half of what they use to be(360 cleaves??). You can watch youtube videos or read up on each dungeon. You have zero excuses to be this bad and want money. Communication is needed in groups and as a tank, you lead because you have to control the fight. If you cant do this? as it seems? switch to another spec and stop giving tanks a bad rep like you are.
Yawn
I’m going to tank heroics for free.
Because it’s just a game
DPS are precious children who must be coddled and catered to at all times Fraudir. You know this.
I admit that stupid children need the most love.
I wish judgment of wisdom gave me energy.
I always try to reserve primal nethers in my heroics as the tank. Most groups are cool with it, although I’ve had a handful that act like I’m the spawn of Satan for it.
Placing the onus for everything solely on the tank’s shoulders is a really great example for why so few people even want to tank in the first place.
I hate this. It’s a huge part of why I can’t stand running Mythics in retail.
I don’t mind avoiding certain mobs because their placement makes them wholly unnecessary, but I’m paying to play the game, not to cheekily sneak past 90% of it.
No one wants responsibilities, I get it.
It’s completely ridiculous and unreasonable for people to complain about a tank shortage and then simultaneously mistreat every tank they get who hasn’t mastered the role or the content.
Does it make the most sense for the tank to call the shots? Yes. But if the tank lacks experience and you as the DPS have that experience, then help out. Don’t just blow up on a tank and kill any interest they have in the role.
I tank heroics as a druid. I have had very few issues. Most I can knock out in 30-45 minutes with zero wipes. Group comp matters the most! You have to bring CC and you need to make them aware they’re there FOR CC.
The main issue I have is arrogant DPS. Move faster. Don’t resheep. It’s like what. Are you tanking? You have any idea how much work I’m putting into making this actually happen so we are not wiping over an over? No? Then shut up and do the job I told you to do. You can always tell when someone has never tanked or even more so never tanked a TBC heroic at launch with minimal gear.
This is what is and what has always been expected of the role. People don’t want to tank because it’s stressful, and because it’s a lot of responsibility. My response to that is to not apply to a job for which you are not qualified. The tank shortage is mainly in pugs; I’ve had no issue finding people willing to tank in my guild.
You need five years of experience tanking before you can tank. You can only get experience tanking by tanking.
There’s a problem here.
He has to run the dungeon to learn the dungeon. Granted, I will usually check Wowhead, even though I’m a healer, so that I can have some idea of the layout and the bosses, and, in most cases, the encounters themselves.
There are about 50000 videos on YouTube about every single dungeon. There’s really no excuse not to be prepared.
