'Tank' satchels are weird

Gmes be like “Hey we need tanks”, but then makes you wait 15 minutes to get into a dungeon. If the game doesn’t really need tanks, why does it offer us a satchel?

Because there are 2 dps in the world that want to do a heroic dungeon, and gosh darn it, we need a healer!

It seems like healers are always the last, but the game seems to offer tanks a satchel far more than healers.

I’ve noticed this also.
Heck the other day there was a satchel for DPS… never knew that was a thing.
8 minutes in queue later I ended up in a normal dungeon full of 400 plus chads. I guess we all got bags and blitzed the dungeon pulling boss to boss. Very weird.
But yeah even for tank and heals having a bag offer and being in queue for several minutes seems odd. I’ve also had tank bags but had to wait in queue for a healer. I think their algorithm may be borked

I do the tank and healing bonus bags, and both of them have a long wait now. Maybe my memory is wrong, but I always remembered almost instant queues when signing up for bonus bags in the previous expansions.

The other day the satchel was only for DPS. I thought I had a stroke when I was playing my Ele Shaman.

I think it because so few people are doing heroics because you can skip them and go straight to +2 mythic plus. So the system see there aren’t enough insert role and puts up a satchel.

cause the true shortage in wow was always healers not tanks. when you know you gotta bribe healers and tanks to do dungeons you know there’s already something wrong with the game.

Yeh so bribe the healers, stop giving us an option for a tank satchel.

Worse is when you get the option, join up, 25,000,000 years later when the queue pops and you carry 4 nobodies through the dungeon and don’t even get the satchel.

And no, the pop up no longer displays the satchel as a reward, even when you get the satchel it still doesn’t show as a reward prior to joining.

idk i don’t even do them anymore i don’t need the gold. but if they got rid of either dungeons would sit empty and i have never played a healer to know how much they pop up.

The OP isn’t wrong when they said healer bonus bags appear less often than tank bonus bags…but as I pointed out earlier, healers sit in queue for just as long (sometime longer) as tanks after signing up, so I am not sure what the OPs point is.

They just need to give a real reward to tanks and healers, it’s bad enough seeing 3 DPS who have zero idea what is going on, bum pull extra packs, never follow mechanics, pull for you, whine and think they are gods gift to the game, then end up doing less DPS than the healer.

I’ve never signed up as a healer, haven’t even setup my healers yet in DF, but waiting upwards of 20 minutes for either tank or healer even when the satchel is up, something aint right.

I agree that the queuing is weird when the bonus bags are up…but it isn’t uncommon to sit in queue for 10-20 minutes as a healer once the bonus bags appear.

It could just be the result of a large number of people signing up for the bonus bags.

Like this guy said.

It used to be almost instant.

Maybe they changed the timing so it’s now longer waits before they offer a satchel, generally you would see the option, sign up and be in within a minute and rush through for an easy 10-15 minute satchel, but making us wait this long means some days I sign up and leave before it lets me in.

EDIT: Oh wait, that guy is you ahahaha.

I haven’t queued for a heroic in…

I mean my first dungeons in DF were all on M0 so… Since early Shadowlands? ‘Maybe’ if there was a better incentive I’d heal them but I think the incentive would have to be absurd so they’d never do it lol.

Healing for a satchel is risky, you could get a god tanking, or you could get Mr. I Don’t Know What Is Going On and end up in Brackenhide going on a world tour of every enemy in the dungeon taking an hour or more to finish.

Getting a good tank in a good dungeon, it’s over in less time than you have for lust to come off CD, but getting Mr nobody and it’s just not worth the 1K and 2-4 runes.

You are doing it wrong. I wouldn’t even touch a normal dungeon right now. Run Time Walking instead until 70, then keys. Pretty easy. You’ll go 60-70 inside an afternoon.

We are talking about the satchels you get from mostly heroic dungeons, which needs level 70 to even get in, and most people I ever speak to only run them on geared tanks and healers so they don’t have to suffer.

What is even in the bags these days? I don’t think I’ve farmed them since cata.
