you can play normal rotation and still lose aggro to arcane mage burst. you need to basically hit them for 5sec or lose aggro in every pull. its frustrating and not fun
next season its probably even worse and tanks cant keep up with the damage.

It’s awful when I play totemic. In a lust pull with double wolves I am sure to rip aggro on something.
I’ve never had threat issues when tanking but Prot Paladin has always had good aoe threat so
i can use thrash 1 time every 4.5sec and moonfire my targets. you have no chance to hold aggro this late in the season

on a lust pull i will rip aggro every time unless i wait for 5-7 sec. its so annoying cause on huge lust pulls or some boss fights my dps will be low since im almost 10 sec behind everyone. the moment i double engulf i either have all of the aggro or i waited long enough and its annoying

Having to wait 5-10s to do any damage kind of negates most of doing a lust pull.
Now now, we created and feed the gogo dps monster. No talking it down now.
Just learn to keep bacon in your pockets.
um no it if anything assures all the targets are grouped together to get the most out of a lust.

i mean yes threat issues exist for burst specs, but keep in mind usually its due to a tank skill issue unless that arcane mage is really blasting
easy answer is dps have to hold their load for like 5 seconds for you to gather and establish threat.
hard answer is, some is probably wrong with your rotation if your losing aggro after 5 seconds
its hard to give a straight answer without a log
also keep in mind that this is probably the largest divide between tank damage and dps damage. df and tww, tanks are doing way less compared to dps compared to SL and before

everyone else i have ever run a key with. while there throwing up dps im still sitting there because if i start my opener with everyone else unlike them i will aggro
i get the same out of a pull with or without lust since i have to wait
yup everythings grouped up. like priory for example that first pull i will get into position and then just sit there doing nothing while other people are dpsing before i can dps because every single time i dps once things are grouped up on a lust pull i aggro. blizzard just needs to stop messing with tank threat and bring it back
it has no choice but to get better since its going to be even worse next season without things happening to it. blizzard only listens to those at the top so when even they complain they will listen
Me, I use bop or Divine Shield tho.
I was in a key this morning where the tank pulled big enough for me to do 17M dps. The tank did 1.5M, so I got deleted and so did the other dps. Sometimes the tanks aren’t pressing their buttons.
on a lust trash pull the moment i do 10m+ without waiting longer than everyone else i pull and die. i wish i could hit 17m pulls on lust but i only do that on the non lust pulls
ya they are not pressing their buttons at all if they were doing 1.5mill in a pull that allowed you to do 17m…which is unfortantly the most common reason why “threat” issues appear frequently when frankly they shouldnt be appearing at all
again, this sounds like your tank not pressing his buttons.
