nope he is. problem is dh threat is pretty buggy so a dev evoker doing all their front loaded dps is giga high threat. i got more faith in the tank doing things right than i would in myself since hes a better player than me.
Wut? How hard is it to wait at least 5 seconds before popping lust and CDs?
Let the tank group mobs or position boss.
I usually bop or divine shield myself on the first pull in meadery.
when i play my pally and its a big pull i always go into it with a bubble. the best was during season 4 and i had the leggo. i had no choice but to bop or bubble because mid axe use i would die from aggroing everything with crazy high dmg lol. some pulls on my evoker i just go into it with scales and renewing blaze cause i know aggro is going to happen so i do all that i can to live
then hes not
vdh threat isnt bugged in a way that matters. the only thing bugged is sigil of flame and spite and theyre only bugged to not give threat if your not in combat with your target. if your tank is openning with sigils before getting into combat then thats probably the problem
odds are hes also playing reaver with no spb, which also generates 0 aoe threat until your first 3 globals (being generous btw and assuming hes playing the reaver combo correctly)
again its really hard to help anyone without a proper log
i dont have logs to share but it happens with any tank he is just the main tank i run with
Of course I do that, I thought you meant 5-10s after they were gathered.
Making the hired muscle my target if I do my rotation correctly as totemic I am almost gaurunteed to pull a few random mobs onto me.
again i believe u, at a certain level threat issues are a thing when dps players are playing their front loaded specs at their peak.
it just hard to confirm if thats the case for you. cause ya know. lv 50 druid
with vdh being meta, theres also alot of people who misplay vdh playing at high lvls too
yea im to lazy to change my toon on the forums. i havent played this druid since bfa
yea i get horror stories about the 16s my friends running
thats fine, just so you know the iffyness of the whole deal
its just crazy manā¦i hate when vdh is meta
lmao my arcane mage pulls aggro off 3700 DHs all the time when spark of magi explodes finger always ready on invis.
Waiting for 5-10 seconds doesnāt matter for Enh. They are close to 100% guaranteed to rip threat on mobs in key. Totemic is 10000% impossible for tanks to hold all threat and Stormbringer is aggressively funneling 5 targets.
I always tell people that if Enh rip threat while tanks do correct rotations and 5M+ DPS, they are doing correct rotations.
You would need a Misdirection which is regularly being done by a Good Hunter.
Not all Hunters are Good Hunters though.
They donāt even help some DPS specs like Shaman DPS, Devoker, Feral, etc. Because they are not doing burst damage. They will still manage to rip threat even when hunter MD or rogue Tricks. They are just a tool for not dying to rip threats.
Tank DPS variance is like 100%. (Lowest vs top) that has a lot to do with threat. (Better players generate way more threat.)
Considering the folks in MDI didnāt have issues with threat and were doing bigger pulls and tons more damage than anybody posting here iād say itās a player skill issue somewhere in the group.
Iām not saying that threat couldnāt be better but saying you are so badass you pull threat when the real badasses arenāt pulling threat off their tank is rather arrogant and puts a big doubt in there.
I do Misdirection Shots sometimes even before the Shaman DPS, Evoker and Feral press their button.
If my Misdirection is not enough, good luck to the outlier DPS.
If they were with us in Vanilla doing Patchwerk on Naxx40, our Guild Leader would be happy to kick them out of the Raid. If you dont know that fight, thatās a Threatmeter fight. All those who exceeds threat against the Tank, it would wipe the Raid. When Patchwerk run to the outlier DPS, he would kill that guy right away and the Tankās threat slides down as he cant catch Patchwerk who runs fast⦠And Patchwerk kills the next DPS high in threat, killing all DPS one by one.
I was in a floodgate on saturday with a demon hunter tank. I gave them plenty of time on every single pull before I did anything, and I mean I did nothing for those several seconds. The moment I used any ability that did any cleave damage I had threat on something. I threw my hands up out of frustration. What is a dps supposed to do in that scenario? I felt like I couldnāt use any abilities, and I was afraid to!
I just count shadowmeld as a dps cooldown. The instant I see a couple plates turn red I slam it. Thereās just no way for a tank doing 7M dps to be able to hold aggro on 20+ mobs with dps doing 25M.
Itās a real problem this season. And will continue to be one next season if they donāt address it. If you play ret or a dps shaman at all, you just canāt play the game. Sit on those hands and wait, because shadowmeld isnāt even an option.
You are an MM hunter, which is 3-6 target specs. Totemic doesnāt care about this because itās uncapped AOE and Totemic can get 4 wolves + DW + pstorm. Totemic will rip aggro random mobs due to procs via hero talents. Stormbringer cooldown duration is longer than Misdirection and very aggressive funneling 5 targets with 5+ Tempest wolves. Tempest, pstorm and Crash Lightning are uncapped AOE. MD wonāt even help Enh and I bet MD doesnāt even help other specs like Devoker, Feral and Ele.
I had BDK in a group. He did 5M+ DPS in a pull and itās not even good enough to hold all aggro from me. He loses threat 4-5 times in 2 keys and heās very frustrated because he had to find mobs with a lot of HP bars.
