Threadly reminder that, as far as we know, only the human kingdoms voted on what to do with the orcs. All we know about Silvermoon’s opinion on the camps is that the elf king, who’d resolved to leave the Alliance over unrelated issues, observed that their upkeep had emptied the Alliance’s coffers and thus made the faction even less attractive.
These zerde threads are funny cause they can always be summed up as, the alliance didn’t do that and if they did it was the hordes fault and if it wasen’t they should have found another way
Especially since we know that if Blizzard wrote that Talanji asked both and the alliance refused, it’d then be the Zandalari’s fault for not containing Zul or whatnot.
So the entire premise and thread is a waste of time and only serves to be “haha alliance good, horde bad”.
Except the Alliance literally helped contain Zul and Ghunn.
My premise is simple, Talanji is an idiot and she was the architect of her own father’s death. If she wants to blame someone, blame herself for trying to worm her way into an global war and not expect consequences.
Case in point
“talanji should have gone to the alliance”
“but the alliance imprisoned her”
“yea cause she was talking to the horde”
“okay so why should she talk to the alliance if they aren’t going to respect her nations sovereignty”
“because horde bad”
We know for meta reasons that the Zandalari wouldn’t take in both sides because the questing was designed to be faction-split among different islands. Thus, that would require the alliance to rebuff Talanji to some extent in order to facilitate the race siding with the horde. But then, thanks to Chronicles, the alliance inexplicably goes and helps anyway because it’s just that pure and noble, I guess.
There’s no real out for the character. And you’re (yet again) practically text-gooning over “ROSES ARE RED, VIOLETS ARE BLUE, HORDE PRIDE IS DEAD AND YOUR DAD IS TOO”.
Except didn’t do any of these/the order is wrong, the Alliance imprisoned her because she was talking to the Horde and she wasn’t talking to the Horde because the Alliance imprisoned her.
All I can say is good. She was planning on helping about to commit planet wide genocide. I don’t think she should get to play the victim here.
Now you’re negating the premise of your own thread because that has the possibility of happening if Talanji asks both factions for aid instead of only the alliance.
I am saying the Alliance no longer respecting her/her nation’s sovereignity happens AFTER she went to the Horde to try and make a deal, thus giving the Alliance a reason to capture her.
The order of the event was, she was going to the Horde, the Alliance captured her to stop it. If she had always INITIALLY went to both factions it would never have happened.
they could have respected her nation and offered a better deal, but you don’t actually want that to happen, you just want to whitewash the situation cause you’re little baby brain can’t handle that the alliance screwed up yet again
