Taking bets on when "Dungeons are Hard" post is reposted

I’m not sure if you realize how pve works, but things give you a challenge your team does said things, and over time the challenge goes away because you get better. No one is taking heroic away they are just making it a little harder becuase right now i could fall asleep during one and my pets would kill everything in there without me needing to do anything, hell people are even soloing heroics and they aren’t even mythically geared. Lol No one’s getting tricked, your content is getting a little boost. Making your brain think is kinda nice, everyone will figure it out.

Do you think they are making these changes without consulting the Metrics they have? lol.

No, not everyone. I don’t usually touch M+. I’ve tried it, but it’s not something I do a lot if any at all.

Me, but not for the reason you supposed; I asked for the Mythic Keystone difficulties to be condensed and Blizzard did just that.

They never stopped.

They aren’t making heroics more difficult at all. Heroics are exactly the same as they were basically.

That doesn’t matter. You said Everyone. Everyone means Everyone. You can’t go ‘The Minority doesn’t count.’ Do a Majority do it? I dunno I’m not Blizzard I don’t have their numbers. But it for sure isn’t Everyone.

But did people really ask for difficulty increase or did they ask for more queue able difficulties. i.e. have both herioc and m0 in ques. People want progression without having to rely on whims of group finder i.e. through queued content and want both heriocs and m0 in queues. Which doesn’t change in this season.

Also one of the major reason people asked for queue able m0 was that story in Legion (Suramer conclusion) and BFA (Alliance conclusion) was actually gated behind m0. You had to do m0 to complete the final quests and stories. Having to go through the group finder was not fun for many people (myself included as my play style was very different in legion and bfa).

*Mega dugeons still gate story behind m0, but eventually we do get the herioc versions of them so I am excluding them from this discussion.

What are you talking about? Heriocs are now going to be m0 difficulty. So the difficulty is definitely going up. If you want to argue that m0 are super easy, barely an inconvenience then fair we can have that discussion.

Gata agree there is no difference between mormal and heroic its a snoozefest and im so casual i may play only 5 or 6 hours a month…and thats a good month.

The only people kinda getting screwed here are the pretty far left of bell curves whom current < +10 keys are “progression” for them since, as I understand it, a basic +2 is now a current +11 and also given the DF dungeons are quite a bit more mechanically brutal, have really put the screws to that subset of players.

But those players also can take some git gud pills and it stops being an issue and if that difficulty range is truly difficult for those people, then I can guarantee they have massive amounts of potential improvement total to make and will see considerable improvements with even basic/fundamental changes that can encourage them to dig deeper and get mote. It’s a lot harder improving when you are already consistently at 95% above vs if you are at 5% or whatnot.

Yea they did since they wanted m0 , m0 is harder than heroics lol, normal will be the old heroics so you do have multiple difficulties … you cant win with people really , i can see it being a disaster already

There is a big difference. Mythic dungeons cannot be done by the random dungeon finder. Cata heroics, pre-nerf could. Even with the change coming where heroic dungeons = old mythic 0 without any of the new mechanics mythic 0 usually brings in, they will most likely be a walk in the park as they are now. As it will just be a small numeric change.

Some people will improve and some people will give up under pressure.

Yep, the start of Cata was ridiculous to pug. We had 3 and even pugging the other 2 led to lots of wipes for example in the Cave one people did not run away after chains were broken and got one shot by the boss whirlwind.

Also good luck getting someone to count to 100 and avoid getting MC on the second boss.

It won’t, because they will still be zerg mode. M0 does not require being careful or going slow or using CC or reading a strategy guide about mechanics. Even at the start of Dragonflight when we were in blues from normal/heroic dungeons, M0s were zerg content.

You are drastically exaggerating the difficulty increase. I think most casual players will be happy to get the increased rewards from dungeons that can be queued and still blasted through.

I remember being in a Grim Batol pug and getting to the last boss with a feral druid who was doing 1/5th the damage of everyone else. We couldn’t kill the last boss, and essentially had to beg the guy to leave group because his dps was holding us back(the dungeon tuning was tight at the time), and vote kick was not working properly. Eventually he left and we got someone else and killed it.

I remember vividly having to explain to the guy the boss was mathematically impossible with him doing such low damage(without insulting him btw). Eventually he understood. It felt terrible tbh.

And the 1st boss mechanics when he charged somebody oof, right then I knew if I should bail it or not lol

Yeah, even aside from gear that was an issue of you got people who tunneled the boss it was like repeating “seriously you HAVE to attack the adds or we won’t win.”
