Taiwanese server players need help

I am an Asian server (also known as Taiwan server) player, so I’m sorry that English is not my native language, and I hope my message can be conveyed.

The server is now contaminated by “malicious” people. Those who claim to be “studios” earn profits by selling leveling boosts to level 70, as well as team dungeon equipment, achievements, and PvP titles. To increase their customer base, they continuously send advertising messages through various means.

The following are common methods currently used:

  1. Sending a large number of advertising messages in the trade channel
  2. Sending private messages with advertising messages, including their WeChat information
  3. Inviting players to join their team and then sending advertising messages in the team channel
  4. Inviting players to join their guild and then sending advertising messages in the guild channel

These behaviors have caused serious harassment to normal players.

Points 2 and 3 are harassment behaviors that players who do not use UI cannot avoid at all.

What is even more ridiculous is that when players are so annoyed by harassment that they choose to fill out a report form to find a GM, they have to wait for 28 days and 15 hours for a response. Finally, when they receive a response in the afternoon, the content only asks them to turn on the “auto reject team” option in the settings. However, there is no option called “auto reject team” in the settings at all. When players reply to the message, they have to wait another 31 days and 10 hours.

I have been reporting continuously for two months, but the game environment has not improved. In one afternoon, I can send more than eight reports. Some players have been reported for more than a week, but they still exist and continue to harass normal players. The above is about harassment. Not to mention the inflation and hindrance to normal players’ mission and material farming caused by the existence of monster and gathering scripts in the wild.

I only have five days left of game time and do not plan to renew and extend my game time. Your company is currently unable to solve the harassment behavior of malicious players towards normal players, making it impossible for normal players to obtain normal entertainment effects in this product.

Afraid things like this happen on all if not most servers. These people are like roaches you just can not get rid of them. They are part of a billion dollar industry and as long as they are making money they will be there.

So report them and move on is all you can do.

Nothing can be done on the forums. This happens everywhere on all servers. You only have to report them through the means blizzard gives you. If it’s in-game mail then use the report feature to report them.

I’m sorry that my message didn’t convey my meaning completely. I just wanted everyone to know that any reports made in the game had no effect.
Unlike the servers in America, players in Taiwan can play the game without buying the expansion pack, which allows malicious players to create many throwaway accounts to harass other players continuously. Currently, the Taiwan server is unable to block these malicious throwaway accounts as quickly as they are being created.

When players return to the main city on the Taiwan server, there is a high chance that they will receive continuous invitations to join a team or private messages from these malicious accounts. They may even receive harassment messages while in the wild.
The starting area is also filled with spam messages from scripts.

I understand that there may not be a solution to this issue here, but I still hope that the company can understand the problem currently happening. If possible, I hope that the company can require players on the Taiwan server to purchase the expansion pack like other servers.

I’m sorry you didn’t understand what I was telling you. There are no developers here who make decisions on anything. This is a player-to-player help forum. You would have to go to your forums for your region to make these suggestions in their forums if they have a section available to you for it. You can also make suggestions through the game, at least I hope you can in that region.

Asking for a solution here falls on deaf ears as nothing can be done on this forum.

The problem is that no one from the company comes here to this forum to see what you are saying. You would have to post this on the General Discussion main forum. Not here.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to me.

I know this is frustrating, the best thing you can do is report - it’s helpful.

We ban this type of account everyday, LOTS of them - one might classify it as TONS.

They come back, and quickly, rinse repeat.

As long as these cretins have a market this is just an ongoing battle we fight. We fight it every…single…day, and always have.

The very best thing to do, as a player, is not only report - but do NOT give them any money, or gold - period. Don’t use their services, buy their product or give them the time of day.

If they truly had no customers, they’d disappear like a foul odor on a stiff breeze.

Friends don’t let friends buy gold - spread the word.

Just to be clear, you can create as many accounts as you want and play without the expansion on North American servers as well. And no one is going to block these accounts from being created, because there’s no way to know when someone creates an account how it’s going to be used. You can’t assume someone playing from China is going to do something malicious.

They have to do the malicious act first, then Blizzard can investigate when it’s reported. Much like police can’t arrest someone for a crime before they commit it.

Thank you all for your replies.

{Unnecessary generalizations removed}

I know that the current situation cannot be changed. It has been two months, and I cannot even count the number of reports I’ve made every day. Yet, the main city is still filled with Pandaren DKs. Nonetheless, I still appreciate everyone’s replies, as they have made me feel a little better.

We understand that most organized illegal activities come from China. That’s not really in question. But you can’t just ban an entire country, nor can you preemptively judge a new account from China as bad.

Overall, you just need to keep reporting what you think are players breaking the rules. Report, then just continue on with your gaming. You aren’t required to gather proof, you aren’t required to track their activity, you aren’t required to follow up, and you aren’t required to be “correct” in your suspicions. Just report it and let Blizzard handle it.

Unfortunately, everything remains unchanged, so I’ve decided to leave. I’ll return when the day comes that those pests can no longer bother me. I hope that day arrives as soon as possible.

I don’t mean this to sound harsh, but if you go through life expecting major, major changes like this would require in less than 24 hours… you’re going to be remarkably disappointed.

Unfortunately that falls on the players looking for the easy way out no matter what MMO u go to there will always be the cockroaches that prey on the stupid and people looking for the easy way to the top untill the players stop cheating this will never go away.

To be as honest as possible, that day is never going to come. As long as this game is popular, and more importantly profitable, for these companies, it’s never going to end. It’s a never-ending battle where they find a way to do business in the game, and Blizzard works to stop it from happening.

Yikes… didn’t realize you guys were so sensitive. Just a joke. I took it down.

For future reference (since I missed the post before it was deleted) - this forum is the most heavily moderated forum there is. And it isn’t the cesspool that is General Discussion. So jokes (especially those in poor taste) generally don’t fly around here when there are serious issues on the table.
