I just upgraded to Tahoe 26, but it appears that now my game has a semi-transparent 1 pixel border around its edge at all times, which is very distracting.
If this is something that can be adjusted on Blizzard’s side (during window creation, say), it’d be much appreciated.
It looks like Moonlight is affected by it too, bummer:

yeah that’s another known issue with wow. just lower priority than one i got in other thread, but they’re aware of it too.
it only affects wow though. other games i tested full screen fine. wow is just doing it in a way that apple isn’t on board with.

OK … will hold off upgrading to 26 for the time being.
Same issue here on MacOS 26. Updated to 26.2 just now and still there.
Really would like it addressed by either Blizzard or Apple. It’s annoying, and concerns me more since I play on an OLED screen that I’d rather not get burt-in white outline.

Still there with the 26.2.1 update?
Oh, it’s a Blizzard thing, not an Apple thing? Dang…
I hope they get it fixed soon.
It is still here after months, guess it will never be solved. Think Omegal already said somewhere in a post only real bugfixing and this is a bug but game still works. Such a shame, this game can even run more beautiful on the macs.
I don’t know how long I’ve had the outline, but I did start to notice it a few weeks ago. It’s not game breaking, but I do wonder if it’s connected to the latest issue with 26.3 RC.
No it is here since Tahoe .0
Anyone know if this is any better with 26.3?
Nope, I can confirm (sadly) that the border is still there with 26.3.
it’s still affecting me (on both 26.2 and 26.3). I really wish Blizzard would fix this. this is only present in WoW, not any other games.
i know they have limited resources, but i wanted to see if Microsoft-Activision-Blizzard has made any progress on fixing this?
Far as I know, they’re not even interested in looking at it at this time being such a low priority issue with many more greater issues on plate, especially on windows side.
blizzard doesn’t have dedicated macOS devs anymore but rather tasks issues by priority in a platform agnostic way. Which in english means mac issues are always lowest priority to begin with but then having this be a minor issue (ie not game breaking, not crashing, etc) it’s lowest of low in an already low category. That’s just nature of development these days.
Im still running macOS Sequoia and don’t have these issues. I have a few Macs available with Tahoe (macOS 26) and I don’t see any reason to upgrade yet.
Maybe there is one that I am missing, but it’s relatively easily to downgrade back to Sequoia.
Tahoe has other notable improvements to gaming, especially on newer hardware or if you rely on crossover for unported games.
I’d call this a minor issue by extension. annoying but minor

What about the grid on the map? It appeared over a year ago and is still there
Why can’t the developers remove it?
Are there any improvements to WoW specifically?
I completely agree that it is a minor issue, but it is absolutely annoying (like most of the issues with macOS 26).
With the 26.4 update, the border has gotten very small (maybe 1px) and is hardly noticeable.
It was to the point that I decided to go ahead and upgrade my main machine to macOS 26.4.
Dear Microsoft-Activision-Blizzard, you have LITERALLY FOUR TRILLION DOLLARS. You can afford to fix this bug. We are paying customers, and we expect to be able to use this software bug-free. Please fix this. Thanks.
