You cannot sell your Tabard of Frost now that you redeemed the code for it unless you sell your account. So it’s value is effectively, let me do some napkin math…0 x 0 carry the 0… and that comes out to…zero. I hate to be “that guy” but i looked you up on the armory and Data for Azeroth…and you don’t seem to understand collectibles. Not to toot my horn but I’m ranked 398 on Area 52 for mounts owned, and 394 for pets, you arent in the top 1000. Uploading my All the Things Data has me at 272 for transmog on Area 52. I understand collecting and collectibles (in and out of game- i have a vast comic book collection) I’m sorry my dude, but you are getting upset that someone else has the same WORTHLESS pixels you do. And this is coming from a guy who spent upwards of 2 million gold recently getting all the leather transmog BoE’s I didn’t have appearances for.

Ok, so how would you go about getting the spectral tiger if you wanted it right now? You would farm the BMAH for years, correct? Ok, now let us imagine that in 2 years Blizz gives it to everyone. How do you feel about farming that collectable from 2007?
Wouldn’t bother me at all. An in-game item that you have no ability to move/sell/profit from once learned (outside of selling your entire account) becomes effectively worthless. Once you redeemed that code it lost 100% of its value because you can not liquidate it (outside of selling your account). A comic book, rookie card, rare painting all increase in value because it can be bought and sold. That tabard is your forever. And as Bluster stated it wasn’t even rare to begin with.

So many want to know how to get it… This is saying 10-30 million gold in the AH. Why do so many want this mount ? I don’t understand? should be just like your pets?
2019 is going back years? There was a limited amount of cards manufactured. The cards that aren’t redeemed and/or the boe mount learned is in short supply 17 years after the fact. Thats why its expensive. But nothing about that makes it prestigious when you can plop down $80 to get enough WoW tokens to buy it off the AH or the BMAH. There is nothing prestigious about that in the least.
I’m just going to say everyone(including you) know the spectral tiger is the rarest mount in game. It has been for years. How people originally got it , doesn’t matter. All we know now is that it is THE MOST EXPENSIVE ITEM in game. I don’t have it, and I acknowledge (like everyone) it is the rarest mount. Supply and Demand.
So rare that at a conservative minimum 20,000 players have it (its listed as a 1% owned mount by current active accounts). There are glad mounts with a less than 1% own rate. And Glad mounts, way more prestigious than that Tiger or your Tabard.
It isn’t, not even close really. There are even other TCG mounts that are more rare. Remember, it got duped a ton in WoD. Also, gladiator mounts, original epic mounts and the black bug exist, so it’s a silly claim right off the bat.

Cash value of the out of game code has nothing to do with how rare it is ingame. They were selling for like 200k in WoD because they duped them by the hundreds.

I’m playing a game for entertainment, Amazon can’t sell me the fun I have doing current content raids, keys with friends, and PvP shenanigans, Blizz sells me that. I like cosmetics and rewards, but that is not why I’m playing the game, it just means I can also enjoy how my character looks because I have a lot of options to chose from to satisfy me visually.

There are 100 listings for unsold Spectral Tiger Cards on ebay right now. One guys listing says he has 80 of them in stock. They are so in demand that he has 80!! Just because it’s listed for $7000 doesn’t mean it will sell or is worth that much.
False, cash value equates to AH gold…you know this, I know this , we all know this.

I have 13 mounts that are more rare than the swift spectral (which I also have, btw) and I don’t even collect mounts. It’s really not that rare compared to other stuff that was more exclusive.

So no correlation between 5k and X millions of gold…right. I think that is a false statement.
Wanna know the absolute best thing? I bought my wife a loot card off ebay a few months back. One of those cards that made flowers behind you when you walked with only like 20 charges. It was $10. It took 3 hours of scanning the card and enhancing it and multiple trial an error inputs after she scratched off the code because it was almost 20 years old and the foil had degraded and the ink underneath faded to the point you couldn’t read the code anymore. But yeah, sure a Spectral Tiger going for $7k is gonna fetch so much on the AH when the person cant read the code to redeem the item almost 2 decades after it was printed.
