So, if anyone is looking into paying less for internet service, I went ahead and tried out this T Mobile internet service they provide

$50 a month, no data caps, connects on their 5G network, it took a month and a half to get my 5G router because its on backorder

setting it up was simple

plug it in, download the app, scan QR code at the bottom, let the app do the work

It hovers between 3 and 4 bars, I need to find a place to get a stronger signal but I just wanted to see how fast this thing is

for $50 thats pretty amazing, especially the fact that I was paying $120+ for Xfinity, on their highest speeds, even their speed test was slower than T Mobile, with 20 MBPS up

just did some torghast to test this, no problems at all

for $50 this is worth switching to me, I’m on the phone cancelling Xfinity service as I type this thread

But yea if you need a new ISP, take a look at T Mobile’s service

I’m a bit dissatisfied with Xfinity. Paying for gigabit, got a good gigabit+ modem (Motorola MB8600) and I never get more than 700mb/s down and 30mb/s up.

This is plugged directly into the modem on gigabit.

close to your speeds now Salhezra, I’m glad I got rid of Xfinity

I think I’m getting throttled or something. Or need a reboot.

Normally around 600-700 up and 30 down, but right now it’s only around 350 up and 15 down.

Ping is 9 though.

Should also mention that if you happen to have a T Mobile account for your phone service, it goes in to your billing, so that you can pay all together at once

you get a discount if you have it on auto pay, otherwise it’d be $60 a month

that sucks, keep looking into it, T Mobile is expanding their coverage

So how’s it now? 6 months later? I have “rectum” I mean Spectrum. Still good latency no issues?

Just curious, how many devices do you have connected and does it slow things down?

Just asking because I have ATT fibre (but only 30 mbps) and it works fine for the 10 or so devices in my household except sometimes it’s really slow to start anything streaming. Once it starts it’s usually good but sometimes…

If I had to pay more than $10 a month for it I wouldnt be using it.
