All of this talk of player housing is a waste of resources and we don’t need that in our game we need more open world content and alternative paths of gearing instead.

People hate content creators for things they didn’t say or do, because they are “toxic” or some other boring buzzword they heard about on some nobody’s Twitter.

You don’t speak for others. Every MMORPG I’ve played has player housing. It keeps people engaged.
And since they can use already existing assets, there’s mostly only server stability/space to consider.
YOU may not want it, but clearly others do.

If it were up to me I would put it up into a vote worldwide. To see how many would approve and how many would disapprove.

Sampling versus the majority yeah no. Also when it comes to voting everyone has to have a say on it and not on some small closed off community. Guess what when I say vote I mean like a presidential vote style where as the population votes and the official (in this case blizzard) tally the grand total.

All the votes adds up to around 1000 something number of people it’s a small community of people vs millions of people player housing is a small minority.
Or they could just convert Garrison into player housing. Saves the dev some time.

Would be cool if they did it like FF14 where you could go to an instance zone in any of the major cities and buy a house.
They can use similar assets and coding, yes. Just make it some instanced plots we can choose from some buildings and allow us to decorate them a bit like we did with archeology.
I thought FF14 was a fight to get a plot and overpay others for them?
I saw they have a covenant type system where the rewards are only cosmetic?

Been a while, but most likely the case. They could’ve definitely added more plots.
Also, it sucked that if you didn’t play in a while you would get evicted so as much as I like some of their housing design it could’ve used some improvements.
