Here comes the Teldrassil justification and the victim blaming of the Night Elves
(Well when the book is out)
i have to say - i´m so glad to NOT buy this cringefest
Well at least anduin mentioned Teldrassil when Sylvanas tried to brag about how much she lost like the selfish clown she is.
“Your life,” Anduin said, quietly, “was filled with riches. Riches I’ve never known. Your world was one of safety and certainty. Of harmless pranks and easy forgiveness. You knew both of your parents. You had sisters and a brother. Your youth was filled with grace and laughter, beauty and love and support, and friendship. And yes—I know that world is no more—for any of us. But at least, you had the chance to taste it before it was gone.”
Sylvanas rose now, too. “Do not envy me, Little Lion. You have lost much, certainly. But it is nothing compared with what I have lost.”
“Is it nothing compared with what the night elves lost? Or should I say, what you took from them?”
And this is the character that Tyrande will be forced to forgive soon
Absolutely gross
None of this even grazes the fact that she literally condemned all of them to super hell for eternity.
And worse, eternal oblivion.
Ah the endless hypocrisy and its endless downplaying by the writers.
Yep and it will be truly disgusting.
I’m kinda liking sassy Anduin. Can we keep him?
Yeah for real, this is the best we can hope for in what I expect to be mostly a whitewash of Sylvanas. Just remember how smug and happy Sylvanas was to commit genocide
Looks like we might be getting some of the details on the deal between her and Zooval
The most gross part in all of Shadowlands… by far.
There was a perfect setup to let us free the souls, but Blizzard wanted to both oblitetare the night elf souls and force us to forgive Sylvanas
Well…that was before she got the other half of her soul back mind you
Does Uther even have his whole soul back? They put him in the shadowlands so they could explain the whole soul fracture thing and set it up for Sylvanas, but I don’t remember if his soul was fully restored like hers was.
Also keep in mind the “evil” sylvanas from all of wow’s lifetime until 9.1 is the one most people who like her character liked her for. This is just more excuse making for Sylvanas.
Why do I feel a sense of DĂ©jĂ vu. This is the second time Anduin has decided to psycho-analyse a Horde Warchief/Butcher.
3rd time by my count.
After Garrosh and Saurfang, it almost seemed like Anduin enjoyed spending his free time making jail house visits to older male orcs. Sylvanas broadens his scope.
I’m not even sure, thinking about it. I never did the Bastion convenant, so I honestly can’t answer that one.
I get there are people who love her because they viewed her as evil, but honestly? I personally, like her because she’s sassy and always did things her way.
To each their own I suppose. I do get why people are upset over it and dislike it though
It could just be Golden, but I always had the feeling Anduin cares more about how his enemies feel than his friends. He basically wrote Jaina off in War Crimes (also written by Golden), was angry and ignored her until she got over than pain kind of by herself, someone who has guided him a lot through his life when she was in pain, but spent most of his free time talking to and trying to understand Garrosh.
It could be an intentional character choice to have him be more concerned with his enemies than friends.
Yeah, she did commit genocide her way for sure, even tried to wipe out the worgen her way!
But also about the Uther quest, I did the bastion story line and unless they gave him his soul back while he was a forsworn, I don’t think I saw him getting it back at all during that time but he was becoming more skeptical of the methods being employed when he was being ordered to forcefully convert people even if it killed them. Sylvanas was just lucky I guess to get it back.
Also wasn’t illidan cut with frostmorne?
Yeah, right across the chest and left for dead for actually. As for gilneas, I’m more upset by the fact that blizz never did anything with the city after all these years and that the gilneans never got to retake it
(I just wanna fight some forsaken and take gilneas back officially is all )
The soul split doesn’t mean anything because it wasn’t a good side/bad side spilt. I am pretty sure they have been clear on this.
It is weird to even consider the soul split anything relevant to her actions when they have made it a point that she never lost her agency in everything she has done.
Am I wrong on that? Do they make it a point that if this other half hadn’t been held by The jailer then Sylvanas wouldn’t have done all the crimes she has done?
