Switching sub to new pay method. Internal 500 Error

I added a new payment method as my old one is expiring. When it asks me if I’d like to switch my sub over to the new method and I agree, it gives me an Internal 500 error.

Since I have two payment methods that look the same, I cannot tell which one is which and don’t know if it transferred over. Firefox is the browser I am using for this. Chrome won’t let me add a new payment at all. No overlay using programs are on. Cache/cookies cleared.

Can I safely switch payment methods through Manage Subscription without being charged again or losing the new promo transmog set? Is there a better way to do this?

Edit: Are subscriptions automatically changed to the payment method selected as default?

Subs do have a different area, that should work.

When changing payments, it is usually best to clear out any existing data, then add the new.

I was successful at adding a new payment method by changing it under the subscription in the Games & Subscriptions section instead of just adding it in Payment Methods section.
