I know some professions allow players to switch specialization without dropping it entirely and relearning from scratch. Can I switch from Goblin to Gnome engineering by paying a fee, or is the only option available to drop engineering and relearn it from scratch? That’s what I did in Classic Vanilla, I’d rather not learn engineering from scratch a third time and lose all my schematics.
I do not know how all the other professions handle this, but blacksmithing specialization can be switched by paying a 50g fee.
Engineering, for TBC, continues to be punished for daring to have been a fun profession. Still gotta unlearn, go to the soothsayer, and train up, again. Although there’s very little in TBC that requires a specialization, is the teleporter worth it?
yeah, it’s mainly the gadgetzan teleporter and the world enlarger. not really anything from TBC. If it was just 50g to swap, yes it would be worth it. But its not worth dropping and levelling again from scratch.
