Swifty's NPC Removed

Too many False victims around, it’s pathetic. Innocent until proven guilty, people that make false accusations should be given the penalty of said crime.

Pfft. If we’re gonna do this kind of stupid, you know how many untested rape kits there are?

And this is why most victims never go to the authorities after an assault. Because this is what they are met with. Not disagreeing with you, just saying what happens.

Those who make false claims do injustice to those who have actually suffered real assaults and misconduct.

It happens quite often unfortunately, and the penalty for doing so is a slap on the wrist compared to the damages that false accusations can cause.

Tell that to our current culture that wants extreme justice for heresay, rumor and unsubstantiated claims . Media is huge problem for promoting this attitude too.

Victims have much more to lose than they do to gain so the accusations are most likely very correct.

Say that to the victims whose legal system and society forces them in to silence and makes s*xual assault acceptable.
People who say stuff like this are one of the reasons why victims don’t come forward for years.

Logan Paul does just about everything offensive and wrong. Including airing a dead Asian on his live stream thinking it’s cool and everyone still loves him and gives him millions

Yeah remove swifty’s NPC from the game but there are Confederate dog whistles in the game. Look up the quest “The War of Northwatch Aggression” which is an allusion to “The War of Northern Aggression” which was the south’s term for the American Civil War. Real classy blizz.

And I agree that’s not something that should be happening, and ways to make it happen less should be explored.

But if the only two options are “Always believe every accusation without evidence” and “Ask the accuser to provide evidence for their accusation before believing them.” the latter will cause a lot less damage than the former.

Oh wow, I never realized that! Is that still in the game? That should absolutely be removed or renamed immediately and if those who titled the quest still work for Blizzard, they should no longer.

It’s best not to engage with the all-or-nothing, “believe all victims” thinkers.

Can’t change someone’s mind if they can’t even delve into subjective logical thinking.

Thanks. Now I remember.

Innocent until proven guilty, but nobody who purposely crashed servers should have an NPC in game.

Say that to the victims whose legal system and society forced them into prison with no evidence.

It’s so very easy to advocate this sort of argument when you aren’t the man thrown in prison for it.

People who believe every accusation are one of the reasons that the cases of actual victims are harmed.

Oh I see. In that case, I don’t know why I bothered replying to you.

There’s clearly no valuable conversation to be had with someone who makes sweeping statements like that.

Yes this quest is in the game, I just accepted on a newly rolled troll druid in retail.

Where can someone read about this controversy?

Justice isn’t the issue here. There is a difference between a private company and the court system. The court system has to consider constitutional rights of the accused. A private company only has to consider their own interests.

But people make false accusations all the time. I’ve seen it since high school. I see it in real life, on TV and other media. False accusations are as real as the actual alleged assault. It’s been proven that lives have been ruined over false accusations. How can you make a statement like the one you did with a serious face?
