Swifty's NPC Removed

I said it earlier, but here.

Swifty was essentially one of the earliest WoW streamers. He was sponsored by Razer, had a huge thing with WoW, etc. He was guilty for crashing the servers once too, and a got banned, which resulted in a bunch of other content creators like WoWHobbs coming to his defense, making videos about it, and petitioning Blizzard to get him unbanned (which worked). Essentially, he was just a famous WoW personality for people who followed those kinds of people.

Only 2% of rape accusations are false. People don’t do that. If someone accused me of something with truth to it, I would publicly apologize. If I was accused of something false, I would tell my side of the story. There. Easy.

Well, except for the MANY times people simply going public has encouraged more people and has led to actual cases. Similarly to how many times bringing actual cases has led to more harm for the victim.

If he is innocent, then he also has options for lawsuits. This really isn’t that challenging to understand.

Just admit you don’t like people coming forward and move on lol

I’m not disagreeing with you, but I want you to know that the reason sexual harassment and sexual assault is so common in our society currently is because it’s often extremely difficult to prove. Not everything happens over text or messages, and there aren’t always witnesses. This is why many victims don’t come forward. Like I said before, it’s really a tough situation for all parties.

And victims are capable of lying. Have you even kept up with all the false inprisonments by false rape accusations lately. Men in prison 10 plus years only have the accuser fess up later or forensic science prove their innocence? Google it bro, its ridiculous.

You need to realize that not all women tell the truth and not all men are guilty. That’s a fact. The minute you assume someone is guilty based on the accuser alone is the day I thank God you arent in charge of the judicial system of this or any other country.

Those same laws even protect YOU.

Whatever happened to “innocent until proven guilty?”

Swifty literally didn’t even have a chance to defend himself. Unless Blizzard knows something we don’t about this whole thing, the only thing Blizzard is doing by removing the Swifty NPC is essentially jumping on the whole “he’s guilty” bandwagon and pushing him as guilty immediately.

Swifty was one of the very first big WoW streamers. Known for his PvP videos and his habit of binding literally every ability and damage boost he could to a single macro to make clickbait “one shot macro” videos to the point that a “swifty one shot macro” is still a meme, even 10 years on.

Only 2% of rape accusations are false. People just don’t do that.

Don’t believe victims, no sir. Take them seriously, listen to them, and investigate. But never believe ANYONE who claims something like that against another person with proof or hard evidence.

You literally just said believe victims truth or not

You can’t back out of this now

Yeah and then we find out a year later the “victims” were lying and now the accussed’s career and personal life is ruined because people belive the victim regardless of any actual evidence.

No greater case of this than Toby Turner.

That’s for the court of law, not public opinion.

Blizzard aren’t sending him to jail and they’re not removing his NPC as a punishment. They’re removing his NPC because he’s a PR liability with these accusations against him.

This is true. All of this right here, is true. And it’s terrible.

And that’s why I say again, to anyone who’s reading this - don’t go to Twitter. Please. If you are ever the victim of an attack, or you feel violated, if you are unsure, go to your local authorities immediately, file a report, cooperate, and be involved in your case to seek justice. It don’t matter who it was, why it happened, or anything like that.

You go to the police. You tell them everything. You go as quickly as possible. In the case of an attack, the most important thing is that you survive, and you go to the local authorities immediately. That is the case in any attack, but especially in sexual assault cases. Evidence is crucial.

I’m not backing out of anything. People don’t just accuse people of things like this in such a public way unless there is truth to it.

Then those flaws should be addressed.

But “believe everyone who makes an accusation, purely on the basis that an accusation was made.” ain’t the way to solve it.

So if he’s innocent he should be like “all is well blizzard” if blizzard adds him back?

You were so close to making a solid point. I ended it where you should have.

If these are false accusations not they are detrimental to the careers of men and such things can become lawsuits if proven false. Also the police don’t take false statements (if they are) lightly.

To me swifty is a has been, I would like to see the npc replaced with our glorious malder. Asmongold.

And telling a victim that they need concrete evidence to tell their story and get some sort of closure isn’t the way to solve it either. Like I said, it’s a nearly impossible situation for everyone.
