Guilty until proven innocent. Always

That only applies in a court of law. Not in the court of public opinion. And Blizzard is perfectly entitled to do whatever they feel they need to do in order to protect themselves and their brand.

Alternatively, maybe their faith in our justice system is (rightly or wrongly) so low, that they feel the only way to “take them down” is to publicly shame them and ruin their careers and lives.

Men in their 20s, reaching ridiculous levels of income and social economy with no prior social build up or practice in meaningful and consensual relationships has led to a very strange culture in Gaming.

If you’re a man, imagine for a moment you go to apply for a job. And rather than your interviewer asking you questions for your job, he just starts flirting with you and bringing up sex, and when you reject those advances the interview becomes tense, you know you’re not getting that job now.

Obviously you’d be uncomfortable.

Something that people should not take seriously. It’s what is ruining a lot of peoples’ LIFES by being falsely accused and ‘cancelled’.

It’s insanity. If you cannot see the difference in attention and spread between Biden and Cavanaugh as well as the difference in evidence, I’m sorry but you have long lost touch with reality. Cavanaugh’s crime was being a right leaning justice that people didn’t want on the Supreme Court.

i know a guy who was accused of inappropriately touching a girl. she was 18 years old. he was carted off to jail and told that if he didnt enter a guilty plea, he could spend up to 20 years in prison. to prove the threat, a white collar executive, who’s high priced lawyer promised he could get him out of it, plead not guilty and went to prison for 20 years. this scared the guy so bad, he plead guilty. and the reason they’re doing this: quotas.

Pretty much what it boils down to yeah. I don’t even know if this Swifty thing is legit (don’t really care enough to read into it anyway) but if Blizzard’s product is involved, then they will do whatever they need to do for sure. But knowing Blizzard they will just cause an even bigger blunder later so it won’t matter. lol

Remember when the WoW forums were about the game.

Now the list of important game topics include.

  1. High Elves
  2. COVID-19
  3. BLM
  4. Sexual accusations
  5. Moderators not doing their job
  6. Pride month
  7. Shadowlands

And that’s unfortunate, but luckily false accusations are statistically rare. So more often than not the public reactions are justified.

Agree to disagree.

Fair enough.

I’d rather argue that knowing what % of accusations are false that gives you an indication of what to expect, because the opposite of “10% of police reports are false” is “90% of police reports are true” so your starting point would indicate that there’s a good chance that an accusation levied against someone is probably going to end up true. Obviously every accusation needs to be vetted on its own, just because one accusation is true doesn’t make the next one also true, even if it’s the same person.

But really the biggest problem with the logic when we talk about allegations like this is that the majority of them are never going to be able to shown as true or false because people generally aren’t recording all aspects of their lives at any given time so all of these accusations play out to be entirely circumstantial with he said she said. The only place for this to be judged is in public since they will likely never be criminally charged and spoiler alert but the accused always denies it because if you’re bad enough of a person to attempt to sexually assault someone you’re bad enough to deny it ever happened.

Once you realize all of the above you have to start using your own judgment on how believable you think the accusation(s) are based on the information we have and/or the story they tell and ask yourself “Do I think this person is lying” because that’s as far as it’s ever going to get the vast majority of the time. And if you just want to write every accusation off because of that then you’ll never find any of them guilty.

I would like to remind everyone here, a majority of these accusations have been confirmed cases.

This isn’t just a random spurred on movement. A lot of these people accused have admitted to what they did.

If you guys want to see someone that was falsely accused and how it effected them and the resolution I encourage you to see this whole Twitter chain:

https://twitter.com/methodpanda/status/1274937582804074497

TLDR context on this, he was accused of the word that cannot be mentioned during the MeToo movement. The accused hired a private investigator to find out who and it was. Turns out it was a guy who felt wronged by this Panda gent for a Twitch donation. I fully encourage you to hear his story and yes, it does get emotional if you watch his videos from a year ago when going through the accusation.

It provides a great example of how mentally exhausting and how mentally abusive being accused of a false crime is.

It is also a fantastic example of someone abusing a movement with good intentions for their own personal vendetta under the guise of a victim.

Accusations should not be held lightly.

When will famous guys learn, just marry your money. Give up sex, and take up golf.

Yeah, give it up or just go for the ones who are straight up about only wanting you for your money. At least then theres no confusion or awkwardness.

Because these men are young and haven’t fully matured and developed socially to match their income and social status.

You can’t just give all this money and fame to a young person and expect them to make all the right choices or not over step what is socially ok.

Yes attack the source because you cant refute anything in that article. You made no, counter arguement at all. Typical. Liberal mind at work. If you cant make a good arguement attack the character of the debater, his sources and anything else that draws attention away from your lack of information and proof.

FACT: Kavanaugh could not be proven by anyone to have done what he was accused of.

FACT: Ford had a history of fraud and inconsistant statements.

FACT: Fords testimony was not corroborated, by…ANYONE.

FACT: She never brought formal charges in a court of law but chose a political trial before Congress. Why? Because she would have not been found credible in a criminal case and didnt want her accusations to go to a legitimate court in front of a jury.

Fact: you ignored article by USA today and ONLY focused on the other.

Let’s see, do you also have anything against the new york post?

Hit nail on head. Although, I don’t think it’s tied to Father’s Day explicitly. But this kind of “movement” is certainly orchestrated. A number of them will be true but the others are just attacking grey area’s.
