We’re all supposed to. You need actual licensed and certified professionals to make those calls. There also has to be a determination that disorderly psychology is affecting Hunter endgame performance and that help is needed to become a better Hunter.
Because we go back to read that they’re getting rid of the KC bleeds, and making the WFB do more damage. This is what will begin to emancipate pets for Sentinels. Not to mention not needing a 2Her for autos.

You need a 2h melee For Lunge CDR. You need a pet for resources, and for tip of the spear. If you don’t use a pet you are losing out on a ton of resources and damage.

Skippable. Steady Shot now gives Focus, baseline. Just like MM can use a pet if it wants.
Let’s discuss it after 11.2 tuning. Spoiler alert: if I lose, I’ll say, “They nerfed it, it’s back to being crap, finna do something else,” and move on to the next subject matter, just like it happened 11.0.7.
I’ll REALLY lose if they tune up melee and pet damage but that means they should have done it during this PTR and should have it ready to go live in a few weeks, and this thread might not have existed. The only reason this thread existed was because I have read they’re NOT tuning UP the pet and melee stuff.

Any reason why you completely ignored tip of the spear and lunge cdr? Any reason why you ignored how you can’t use coordinated assault without a pet? do you know what survival’s mastery stat does? If you don’t have a pet, and aren’t melee as SV you will have
- less bombs
- weaker bombs
- less Focus
- no damage increasing cooldowns
- no spirit bond damage
There’s nothing to nerf, you’re just ignoring how the spec functions because you don’t read how abilities work

I know how it works now, and it worked the same since TWW launch. Who cares, that’s past.
At least 11.2 will be live in January, or 11.2.5. That’s the only time I can look into it unless I really want to fire up another acct. If you’re convicted in Classic, you’re also convicted in the Retail.
But spend $15+60 pre-tax for a fresh max level. I think I need some sponsorship to play test…

If you meant Midnight, I’m sorry to say but survival will still need to be melee and still need a pet to function optimally then as well.
I can’t play 11.2 in the Bastille, but Midnight is coming out later in 2026. In Jan 2026, when I get out, TWW will be live and I can check it out with this toon.
It’s Microsoft’s ball now. Whoever was on the Hunter dev team now, it’s MSoft calling the shots.
Edit: I take the launch date back. It’s supposed to be Feb/Mar 2026 for Midnight launch. I was wrong on that one. I’ll still be in prison when 12.0 prepatch comes out!
Edit 2: At least I have an excuse unless Blizz needs the money and I give in like an outside person I feel sorry for. It doesn’t leave a lot of time for live if prepatch and 11.2 are just four, five months. Microsoft WORKS fast!
