Ive loved sv Since sl.
The ability to stay ranged of needed, melee whenever I want is such a bonus.
Also, sv damage has been top tier if you play it well.
The only gripe I have is it still feels squishy with 2 walls.
Turtle needs shorter CD and to do the protection that paladin bubble offers— only for sv, not and mm
I don’t think you know what’s top tier if you think that’s what survival has been.
Mongoose bite does big damage
Current SV spec feels seems like it has too much going on and could benefit from focusing on doing just one or two things. Maybe going pet-less is the answer? I would be sad to see the spec not utilize a pet because I personally love the theme of fighting alongside your pet, but if it improves the gameplay then maybe it is a good starting point.
I took a decent break from playing hunter and have been really enjoying playing the class again. BM feels very smooth to play where as SV feels a bit chaotic.
Hopefully the upcoming changes are positive and add to the enjoyment of playing the class!
I have always been of the opinion that Marksman should be the petless spec, Beast Mastery should be focused on fighting using the beasts and as many as possible and Survival should be the spec that fights alongside the beast. Survival should lean into the combo attacks with the pet truly being one with them rather then just giving them bombs, guns, crossbows and anything else they feel like at the time lean into what they currently look like they are trying to do Marksman with no pet, Beast Mastery with ALL of the pets and Survival with one pet that you combo with.
Let’s keep getting the bad ideas of the way, like this one. The entire theme of the spec is to fight along your pet. Blizzard already gutted a CD from the spec, if you still think too much is going on, stick to BM or Ret.
Unrelated, once again, Hunter raid buff needs to become 3% crit or something more meaningful than the current interaction of Hunter’s Mark.

I never got why people just don’t play warrior if they want petless melee hunter.

It comes from the Dutch language, some words we get to learn, meaning strong.
It sure looks like it for one of the hero classes, and we were told it’s evergreen so…two different versions of a spec, the Sent and the PL.
petless does not work, you don’t know what you’re talking about at all.
Half true; wouldn’t work for Pack Leaders. Pack Leader BM and Pack Leader SV. This includes Dark Ranger BM.
Edit: In other words, we’re looking at three hero class/specs that do not have a petless option, and three hero class/specs that do have one: Dark Ranger MM, Sentinel MM, and maybe now Sentinel SV. A 50/50 split.
But with Microsoft doing their thing there’s no telling if they’re not going to throw this away too like they’re REALLY cleaning house. The future just seems so fluid now.
100% true, petless SV will never work. You don’t know what you’re talking about. If you don’t have a pet as SV you lose out on a ton of resources, damage, and even cooldowns. I’ve told you this before but in typical fashion you ignore things you don’t want to hear

It’s because what you take for granted is fitting to be thrown away. You’re living for just today, which is fine. I’m not telling you not to. I have heard you, I’m just not convinced I’m supposed to believe what you say is forever.
Look at what MSoft is already doing. Look how even the forums are already better(already covered that detail, hehe boi).
Okay and by that logic of “you don’t know the future, anything can change” we could see pets mandatory on all specs in the game
Sure, but we could predict that too, duuuuuhhhh lol. 11.2 is not showing it. Now 12.0 alpha could, and we can see it then.
11.2 isn’t showing petless either, so your entire premise doesn’t make any sense.
I bet melee marksmanship is just as prevalent in midnight alpha as petless sv
You may be arguing just to argue, because you can’t prove a negative. My argument was limited to conditions such as actual performance. It really does need to prove then it can bring home the
without a pet. So it still has to pass “clinical trials”.
I would conserve your energy for the next round if you want to keep arguing. You didn’t win the point, but after 11.2 tuning passes, I might lose the next one.
Just keep it in mind we’re under new management. The people that existed during Leg SV may be replaced by Microsoft. Oh, and if MS are smart, they won’t make the mistake that was made after 9.2.
as opposed to what you’re doing which is
It can’t though. You’re basing your whole “point” off of nothing
I’m sure I’ll be unfortunate enough to see you in the forums for 12.0 too. I wonder if you’ll admit you were wrong then
No…you and I don’t share the same reputation. Others have called you out. Nice try lol. If you’re that insecure, get secure.
You mean the same source we both have access to on WoWHead and other 3P’s?
The woke had removed a great many. It didn’t remove my friends and I, because we knew the woke would delete. These are now post-woke times.
Depends if Microsoft makes WoW great again. I do sure hate to be wrong in a game “no one” plays anymore. The tricky thing is if even I admit it, nobody is going to care if MSBlizz actually makes all Hunter specs good. Better yet, the people that would care, might not even be around at all.
Are you ignoring everyone here that regularly calls your concerning delusional narcissism out?
Please tell me why you think petless SV will be a thing. What are you basing it off of? Why do you think sentinel SV will have some sort of petless build when that makes 0 sense at all?
