If you don’t like Blizzard’s rules or how they do things - then why are you playing their games? Rather than pitching a fit over your punishment for breaking the rules you agreed to, don’t play. Don’t continue to feed them your money or time. Certainly, there are other games and companies out there that you can play with that don’t raise so much ire.
No one forced you to accept their rules. No one forced you to break them. No one is forcing you to remain. These are your choices that you made.
Um, there are plenty of things in game that would get you sent to jail in real life. You are not complaining about those, but no, you are kvetching about a couple of naughty words in game and you cannot say them in public channels.
You don’t have that right on private property. What is out of control is the vitriol and nastiness of players which garnered the game as a toxic environment. I am quite glad that Blizzard got off their duff and bringing the hammer down on people. This game needed it for a quite a while.

No there isn’t, or these forums would be flooded with them. And the one you miscreants talk about only show that the squelch system is working as it should. What it doesn’t show it that the guy got a 3 day ban for abusing the reporting system.
No you are not. You are raising pitchforks and torches, pushing lies and misinformation, and ignoring the fact the wow player base isn’t all that squeaky clean (it’s actually quite dirty). Where have I made any excuses, hm? I understand their systems better than you do. I’ve hung around helping folks out here in CS for years now. I don’t have to base my knowledge on what some streamer or the Reddit Rabble wants to lean on. I go by what I see from the staff and from what the players who come here share with us. I don’t have personal first hand knowledge because guess what? I follow the rules I agreed to when I started playing this game back all those years ago.
Blizzard isn’t perfect. But what I don’t do is use something as terrible as what those lawsuits brought to light to try and validate something else that has absolutely no correlation. And still these videos seem to prove one thing - ignorance by the channel creator, those involved, and many viewers on how things work in-game. It’s also sad when even after being debunked, that they continue their crusade. Because drama sells, and that debunked clip got a huge number of views, so lets do it again, and again… Because the platform will reward them.

Often players are actioned for something that was reported weeks ago though. This is another source of conspiracy theories, that they’ve been actioned on something much more immediate when in fact it was much longer than that.
