This toon is level 10 LOL
Meanwhile your level 60 hasn’t even selected talents for SV, yet here you are. Whoops.
Also a 2min review of achievements will show I’m not an alt of anyone else posting in this thread.

Their go to response when confronted with their own stupidity is to claim it’s someone’s alt and ignore the points they can’t address. Been that way for near six years at this point. I particularly enjoy the couple who questions others while either posting on a level 10 themselves or not having done anything more than questing.
At LvL 10 you can select your spec, so why are you BM and not SV? I have more than just the one Hunter, and if I really felt like I needed to prove anything to you I just go get on my alt; However, if you can even take the time to play SV then why do I need to even bother with you? But you keep looking I bet you will think of something.
No I never said you were an alt of Toxi they would at the very most switch to SV that way they could show they know something about SV.
I’ll be waiting on one of your tired same old unthoughtful responses.
This one a Toxi alt.
Can you post on your SV Hunter real quick
If you it would please you.
See nothing special
Thank you for this post
You most welcome. I have six Hunters all together and do not have all the time to level each to 60.
Feel free to highlight what you think is being ignored.
Oh, I’m a huge alt-oholic as well. I have between 25 and 40 alts (no, I’m not giving out an exact number), with multiple alts for most classes.
I have 4 Hunters in SL content (1 for each covenant). And the rest of my Hunters aren’t far behind. They’re around level 35 to 45.
It’s nice to know I’m not the only crazy one around here!
Anyone playing SV because they want to melee with a pet, is really misunderstanding the playstyle, I think.
Which of course supports some of the complaints of detractors that say the identity of SV is really all over the place.
But don’t read that admission as a complaint about the playstyle of SV. I think the playstyle is fine, but SV has some serious PR problems.
I’m on team alts aswell, with all of my (max number) characters being hunters, warriors and monks. Well… technically my kids have a couple characters on there and I locked down a name for a DK because I thought it was funny. But yeah… I like alts.
Same here, I’ve been at the 50 character account cap ever since they made it so you can have more chars on 1 realm.
I have three that are in SL right now as well. My main and two that I been swapping in between to level up.
They not going to give you a clear answer only a some garbage. They want the attention.
They could make ranged SV Hunter a thing by just giving SV hunters an extra weapon slot for a bow and balancing the already-present ranged abilities. Bring counter shot and some kind of daze back, maybe some tweaks to the final product so it plays smoothly for the ranged version of the style, make sure it has the same or similar comparable damage output and you’re good.
Could even rework how Aspect of the Eagle works, and make it kind of like a stance, where you’re ranged with it on, melee with it off. Don’t think it has to be a new spec or anything, we have a lot of the framework for it already.
Most likely yes. Not expecting much really…
In the vast majority of cases, the people who are asking for RSV/Ranged Survival, aren’t after the current spec, but ranged. They’re specifically looking to play the version of Survival that we had prior to the Legion expansion, when it was replaced by this melee spec. The changes you’re proposing won’t achieve that playstyle.
A big part of this is that the current SV borrows a lot from BM. That’s already problematic even without SV being ranged. In fact it’s worse than the supposed similarity between SV and MM pre-Legion everyone harps on about yet it’s only generally accepted as fine because SV is melee while BM is ranged (a token difference). Otherwise Wildfire Bomb would be a great fit for a ranged spec; a much better fit than in a melee spec, in fact.
The other problem is that these people are usually suggesting having both a ranged and melee weapon and keeping some dependence on melee range. It’s not a fully functional ranged spec but rather a ham-fisted compromise between ranged and melee that’s strictly worse off. SV fans love to advertise “being capable at both melee and range” as a major strength of the spec (in fact the Hunter wowpedia page says Survival is the most versatile Hunter spec because of this… as if BM and MM can’t DPS in melee range) but it is as a matter of basic fact worse than just being a ranged DPS spec and it still gets left behind in favour of BM and MM for all the same reasons.
