Survival. at its very core, is about bonding with, and fighting alongside your companion.
Nearly every single survival ability is named after a beast.
Wingclip
Mongoose Bite
Wyvern Sting
Fury of the Eagle
Raptor Strike
Aspect of the Eagle…
The rest are about working with them, such as Coordinated Assault. Nearly every ability has some sort of component where the pet attacks alongside the hunter.
Survival. At its very core. Is about using one companion to its fullest. Having to position each other to do your best, and keeping each other in the fight.
BM on the other hand…
Stays back at 40 yards to avoid everything
Does nothing but press kill command and swinging a whip
Throws endless pets at someone. Doesn’t matter what it is send it, random bullslop go!
Beast “master”, at its core, is just demanding the beast do as you say. To push itself and ignore pain and threat of death. It is a swarm of random beasts you do not care about, with two main beasts you whip and prod into a frenzy. No better than the lion tamer at a circus.
Survival deserves to have exotics. Exotics that would be well cared for and appreciated. Exotics that the survival mascot of Rexxar, a true beast master, would call friend.

BMs gimmick is being low skill ceiling bots. Do not let exotics languish in such an un-honorable fate. BM has been the laughing stock since time immemorial. Do not let the exotics suffer a moment more at the yoke of the “pet pulled” wipe! It was the BM, scourge of the hunter class giving them a bad name!

Yeah I don’t really get the point of the restriction. Plus if I tame an exotic as bm, but feel like using melee for a while, why suddenly take my pet away? That’s lame. BM already has so many other them-specific things I don’t think pet restriction needs to be one of them.

Does NE naysayer help? BM deserves the special tames, they’re going all in on pet reliant. If my pet gets stuck as BM and I deal negative dps with my two non pet damaging abilities it’s going to at least look good on that cliff
No the zookeeper spec needs something unique besides being one of the worst designed specs since melee hunter already stole kill command.

So are survivalist. They can’t use abilities without a pet. And they only get one. Not two plus a small zerg of nameless bozos.
So once again… surv should get exotics to better their chances since they’re relying on one. Really is funny how much better of a beast master survival is over turret and forget

Survival only needs pet for cooldowns and resource generation? All of the damage comes from wildfire bomb, explosive/kill shot, etc nothing to do with pet so it’s not a fair comparison. Survival is definitely better labeled as a range melee hybrid than pet class
At the end of the day, it’s logical BM has exotics, fits class fantasy/description, and it isn’t going to change any time soon, it’s a core identity of the spec since it was made a capstone talent

And? That doesn’t change the fact this spec requires a pet and you are underselling the synergies they have, especially in burst windows. 
The rest of the drivel means little. Blizzard has gutted “core identity” abilities before.
And frankly. Nothing would change for BM. Letting Survival have a singular exotic has zero (0) effect on bm. Sounds like BM thinks they’re special and doesn’t want to share their toys

Could be added to Pack Leader for Survival to be able to tame an exotic pet. Could replace that awful 6 second pet node in the hero tree.
