Survival Hunter: Reforged

I really do like these new changes. With the new talents, I can see echos of the old Hunter designs from Vanilla through WoD. Nicely done!

Its funny you say that because I wracked my brain trying to remember stuff I liked in the past. Watched a bunch of History of ________ videos, scoured wowhead and old forum posts etc. Iā€™ve been a hunter main since I started in BC, so keeping it all straight is tough.

Glad you liked it! Hopefully blizz noticesā€¦

Your dedication is appreciated. And some of these changes look pretty good.

Thanks man

Fun to all 28 people who play it! Still a dead spec.

Ah yes this will surely make everyone flock to play the spec

Haha. Well its to make design space for Dragonsfire Grenade. Plus, since because of the mastery Wildfire Bomb is for augmenting your burst windows, youā€™d probably want to be close enough to take advantage of it.

I just read your blurb on what SV means to you, Iā€™ll respond there. For now, here, just pretend this is the mythical 4th spec :stuck_out_tongue:

I would play Survival if it was anything like this.

I loved Legion Survival. Anything that gets us closer to that design would make me want to play the spec again.

Yep, Legion was flawed but still super fun. I tried to use that as a foundation, then sprinkle in mechanics and themes from the rest of WoWā€™s history where they fit. Iā€™m pretty happy with it!

100% agree there, they really should have just refined Legion Survival. Not to say BfA Survival is bad, but it seemed like they were trying to appease a bit and it kind of fell flat.

If they just shaved off 2 of the 5 plates you had to spin to make Survival work in Legion,IMO baseline rotational traps and Way of the Mokā€™Nathal, it would be amazing.

cough please give us flanking strike and mongoose bite back baseline cough

Oh noes. Whatever youā€™ve got is catching. Cough cough cough cough.

The same could be said about all the time you take advocating for RSV, yet here we are.

Even though I mostly disagree with the RSV people, I definitely sympathize with the frustration, feeling like a great thing was taken from you with no recourse. Thatā€™s why Iā€™m promoting my ideas anyway.

Recently losing something is one thingā€¦ clinging to it after so many years is another, much less healthy and good to have.

I like picking and choosing ideas that worked over time, rather than just saying for example lets copy/paste MoP. Every era has had problems, some more than others. So if you like RSV, donā€™t say #RevertToMoP. Do what Iā€™ve done here and flesh it out the way you imagine it.

Agreed.

Honestly, wouldnā€™t the best solution be the one that doesnā€™t require the removal of something in existence? Or requires heavy modification for that matterā€¦
(As, if you do that, thereā€™s always the overwhelming risk of it causing existing players to no longer have an option they like/way to play what they enjoyed)

Back to you guys with the topic of current SV.

or mind your own business and let people love what they love

Iā€™d be surprised if there were a large group of people that LOVE SV in its current state. They might like Latent Poison or Wildfire Infusion specifically, but the whole package? Iā€™m sure thereā€™s at least 1 guyā€¦

Iā€™m that guy
