i enjoyed rsv for 10 years. i dont care what the 5 people that played melee for 3 xpacs think.

Yikes lmao, i don’t see how that discredits his point at all it definitely shouldn’t be removed, but RSV should be added back
Its been 6 years since the change and you know you’re downplaying how many people like the current version of the spec.
I understand why you’d want it back, but it’s very selfish to want those who enjoy it now to lose something they love.

You see how that’s spectacularly hypocritical, right? Way more people played ranged SV yet Blizzard didn’t hesitate to screw them over and even now many melee SV fans still argue it was totally justified and fine.

If DH gets another spec, I hope it’s not a pet spec. There are so many and I hate pets! (Yes I know it’s ironic because I play 17 hunters, pet pathing/management is why most of them are MM lol)

This. Adding MSV was not a mistake. Removing RSV was. It is not hypocritical to not want Blizzard to make the same mistake twice. Hopefully the new talent trees will have a way to make RSV viable again.

The dude has been on a crusade against MSV for over a year and he lacks any awareness on the issue. I feel like anyone with any logic would agree with Mor and Rak, but he’s so blinded by spite he doesn’t just want RSV back, he wants MSV completely gone because it replaced RSV and the current version doesn’t fit HIS version of the hunter archetype.

Logically, way more people played RSV than MSV. It follows that removing MSV would not be as bad as removing RSV.
In any case, most people aren’t in favour of either absolutist approach but rather some form of compromise, e.g. ranged and melee options within a spec.
Logically, more people played back then so that’s a no brainer. Just because it wouldn’t be as bad doesn’t make it right either.
I wish you were apart of most peoples approach because seeing your hatred for MSV gets tiring after a while.

Representation is by proportion of the playerbase. RSV was proportionally more represented than melee SV.

And i think there are a variety of factors for that. The first iteration of it in legion was abysmal, 2-3 different windows to juggle and it wasn’t great. Community perception also didn’t help and i think that’s played a big part in why it isn’t played more. Because people, such as yourself, wouldn’t give it a shot out of spite or cared too much for the loss of RSV and are biased. On representation, should we rework all low rep specs? Would there be a cut off (rep % wise)? or just MSV specifically? as the community that does enjoy them obviously means little to you.

I was thinking with talent trees they can put black arrow, explosive shot (old one), magic bullets, and all that in the marksman tree.

The ammunition/weapon coatings from WoD i enjoyed…i’m not sure how a hybrid spec of MM/RSV would go but i’d be down to try it. They’d probably need to put more emphasis on traps as well but old explosive shot was fun
When I played old SV it was mostly for bgs. But I stopped pvping after legion when they removed templates. Played mostly bm since then. Got my SV and all the other artifacts in Legion.
Recently been trying mythic plus and SV hunters feel good in there and torgast.
BM though has an easier time for soloing and is very simple. I expect most players to gravitate toward that because its so easy to play.
Same as how so many people are playing soldier 76 in overwatch 2 beta. Its so easy to play.
And bm is the only spec we get to use the exotics we collect which is dissapointing.
